I'm watching the VGA awards on Spike now, and they showed a clip of God of War 3, which was quite short. I hope they show more of it, but with how Jaffe talked about the game, saying that its graphics blow everything we've seen so far out of the water...I wasn't too impressed. No doubt, the game looks great, but at the same time, it doesn't really look THAT much better than what we have right now, with Gears of War, MGS4, Killzone 2, etc. Anyone else see the short video and think the same?

I liked it.. The direction seems to be epic in this one. I liked the begining with the lightining and Kratos breathing. Some people didn't like it I suppose, O owell, I enjoyed it
I'm not trying to make anyone mad, but the game didn't look much different from God of War 2 to me. I love the franchise and will be buying GOWIII day one but it is not the graphical powerhouse it was penned as.

Ye he did. I think he saw an earlier build, and we where shown an older one.

because if god of war 2 had good graphics and i dont think they will downgrade for this game
Downgrade? You can have a game that looks way better than GOW2 and it still won't compete with Gears, Killzone2 and the rest of the games this gen. They are working on new hardware so there is no garuntee just bc their last games were great but there is time.

I want to see what he saw because this trailer was well mediocre at best.
I think you guys will think differently when you see the direct feed. I was dissapointed to not see any good gameplay action... but the gfx look good compared to everything else they've shown tonight. I'm not hyping it as best gfx ever or anything like that, but they looked pretty solid... particularly IF that was gameplay.... On a sidenote, I think I'm also impressed with the graphical style of Maffia II.

Yea, that's the same thing I was asking people.... the game looked better than most of the games shown. Especially considering we aren't seeing a direct feed. I'm not worried though, the game will speak for itself over the coming months.... I can't wait. Uncharted 2 looked freakin great too.
