people have been predicting the end of PC gaming for 20 years
edit: ugh, haven't had my coffee yet :x

Which platform "wins" depends solely on one's gaming taste. However there have recently (or to be more precise post this year's E3) a lot of talk how PC might just be the best from big sites. But I think that's just reaction to E3 showing, which was very casual centric. PC gaming is steadily turning into the last stronghold of hardcore gaming and veteran gaming press responds to it well and flock to it in defense from all the motion-controled nonsense modern consoles are putting. It's not objective and doesn't consider the "big picture", but it's understandable. Imagine you go hyped to E3 just to see some asian girl petting a tiger. After something like that a walk through PC booths filled with games like Old Republic, Shogun 2 or Civ 5 must have felt like getting into safe heaven. Especially since core multiplats are nowadays vastly superior on PC anyway

I refuse to take anything Gamesradar has to say seriously.

Yeah it will be this year, the servers are being prepared for it already
OT: I agree with them, PC will win 2010.
My thoughts exactly, I'm a raging "Hermit" here and the 2 games making PC win for me this year are Final Fantasy XIV and Civilization 5 ... everything else can go stuff itself, Blizzard lost my interest long ago.As a PC gamer. I would suspect the Author to be a very big Blizzard fan. A couple games for the PC the author didn't mention for Fall are...
FFXIV and possibly Natural Selection 2 and Tactical Intervention (true Counter Strike sequel)
Mystic-G
Hmm, this is a tough one.
In terms of bringing in new people, the PC will fail, because games like starcraft and WoW have an established user base, and I think alot of people out there that don't play this games will not jump on board with these new releases.
However, Kinect, Move, and the 3DS will pull in thousands of new gamers. So in this sense, PC will not "win" autumn 2010.
BUT! Because these PC games mentioned are being releaseed this year, both highly anticipated by the fanbase, they will sell staggering amounts, I'll bet on that. So I think PC could win in terms of overall game sales this autumn, that's not even taking into account all the other superior titles the PC will offer (Crysis 2... please deliver!)
The PC always wins. I don't see how this is news :?shakmaster13
i went into pc games because of people saying this and i was extreamly dissapointed

Who cares who wins what . Other than fanboys in system wars
To me Pc has the most interesting games coming this year and apart civilization V gamesradar article missed a few gems
Elemental War of Magic ( i can say i anticipate this as much as Starcraft 2)
Natural selection
Patrician IV ( addicting management game )
Disciples III: Renaissance
Drakensang: The River of Time
King's Bounty: Crossworlds ( imo the best turned based rpg series out there and each of the previous games offer more than 30-40 hours of fun )
Amnesia: The Dark Descent ( from penumbra devs need i say more)
Naumachia – Space Warfare
and of course the new Fallout version that matters . The version that will allow mods to be created
The only thing that got PC a +1 from was STEAM but now that too is coming to the PS3.shane_orija
Steam is not coming to PS3. Just SteamWorks for Portal 2, and possibly other games. Only offers a few features of what Steam actually does, and does not offer the Steam Store.
OT: PC usually has excellent years, with very few drab ones.
What a lame article written by an obvious pc fanboy. WoW get a new expansion pack every other year, only SC2 is notable. He also missed L.A. Noire, a major console exclusive. His article is only further proof of two things:
1. Big-budget pc exclusives are almost entirely RTS and MMO
2. PC-only gamers have insecurity issues

L.A. noire isnt coming out this year, and your missing Civ 5 (not to mention several others) which are part of a very large and very well reviewed series.
1) What are most of the Console Exclusives ... Shooters? 2) Oh the Irony. What a lame article written by an obvious pc fanboy. WoW get a new expansion pack every other year, only SC2 is notable. He also missed L.A. Noire, a major console exclusive. His article is only further proof of two things:

The consoles get skipped on most Strategy, Indie, MMOs and lets face it, when was the last time there was a console exclusive RPG that matched up to the Witcher, or the upcoming Witcher 2? or Diablo 3? Fable 3 ... oh wait :S.....

but he is right in terms of hours. This addon and new sequel will probably more consume than all consoles exclusives together.
I am never surprised when PC wins. I am always surprised to see that others are surprised that PC won.
