Think about it...
I'm not a huge Halo fan, seeing as I am a big PC gamer, but I have to point this out because I think the Halo series has taken too much negativity when it hasn't had the chance to build on them or respond to them. (By negativity I mean saying things like "Modern Warfare is much better than Halo, halo sucks" when Halo never had the chance to counter it considering it came out before them)
Now they do have a chance to respond. With Halo Reach.
Yeah, Modern Warfare 2 is coming out next week and is undoubtedly the most anticipated and the sequel to one of the greatest shooters of all time...
HOWEVER, lets backtrack. Do you remember the surprise (and awe honestly) when Halo 1 came out? It was such an excellent shooter. Now shooters have evolved into even better, more customizable games with unparalleled multi-player capability.
Now put yourself in Bungie's shoes. They have been around to see the release of Call of Duty's new revolutionary games... and games like Crysis, Uncharted, and any other great FPS you can think of...
Bungie created Halo, and at the time that was a feat and such an accomplishment on their part. Now that same company, has other games to look at and build off of and ultimately compete with.
Now, SERIOUSLY think about it. Bungie will pull out all the stops with this game. They will add new weapons and customization options (obviously) and features to counter Modern Warfare and Uncharted, etc.
They have to if they want any sales and any credibility in the future. They are a smart company, they know this.
So all in all, I am predicting a Halo game with a comparable campaign experience to Halo one, and more. A more robust and customizable multi-player. A better engine. And a complete re-brand of what we see the Halo series as now. Which is basically a game that has great multi-player but hasn't lived up to its potential overall.
But, considering Bungie... Id say that opinion will change, unless you're just that stubborn.
