Wish he would put the effort into making a coherent and concise story. If a game makes you want to look away from sheer un-amusing ridiculousness then something went wrong..

MGS4 was a snorefest of limited gameplay wedged between an endless barrage of lengthy, horribly written cutscenes... but at least it looked good, but that's all it really had going for it.

Story made perfect sense, and Ive yet to play any other games in the series. While I'm a big Metal Gear fan... that's why you think it makes sense, you've only played one game. While I think the story is easy to understand, there are a few things wrong with it, mainly retcons. *coughDr.Madnarcough*

I thought it was just confusing over all, not becuase it just didnt make sense. Never thought about that. Luckily Im getting the collection soon.

Perfect sense is a misnomer for any MGS title so I wont even get into that but the sure amount of blubber that came along with it made things drag on to the point of being soporific. There was goodness there, but for every nugget of gold you would have to wade through so much excrement it could become rather smelly and unpleasant.
Not everyone thought this story was bad, some people loved it. I loved it just not as much as MGS and MGS2 it was better than three's story imo... but then again I love plot twists. Then again, this is system wars everyone is going to hate something you post on here.

You think you know the story but you have no clue. Trust me. To truly understand MGS4 you have to play the entire series.
