so I am thinkin' about getting a ps3

HI all,

I am thinking about getting a ps3 as my launch day 360 finally died on me last week and is off getting repaired.

Do you all think that getting a ps3 is worth it since the price cut / clearance markdown? I mainly want it for the Bluray player as I don't really care about many of the ps3 exclusives.

HDDVD has been losing and it will continue to lose. Bluray will be the next gen disc. But yeah, PS3 games are awful right now, but on the 28th that will change. Also, its line up looks great in the future

HDDVD wont win ppl arnt stupid HDDVD cost more (not the players)and hold less, if HDDVD wins the world as we know it will end...

and TC get a PS3 soo much promise and games comingout and stuff, im not ino the mood to give the whole shpeal but just get 1 you wont regret it

there are cheaper blu ray players on the market, doesnt make sense to buy a PS3 just to play bluray. Personally Im going to go with HDDVD just to watch heroes and Battlestar Galactica

thats one thing thats annoying. There are a lot of exclusives for HDDVD and Bluray, so its like choosing a console now a days. Instead of choosing which games you would rather have you have to choose movies

really i did a quick search on amazon$519 is the lowest i could find..

The time is now to get a PS3 and once you get it and try it you may not even look at your 360 the same way when you get it back. As for a movie player not only does it play Blu-Ray but it upscales SD DVD's very nicely as well. And if you happen to see a PS/PS2 game you would like to play then chances are it will work very well and it to will be upscaled very nicely.

Its a good piece of hardware, however ill wait till 08 if i were you, but im not ;)SuperMario_46

Unfortunately for those of us whose buy Xboxs and Playstations for games....that is ALL the PS3 is.....
