So ...... I was browsing Metacritic.com today .......

And I noticed a really low score for Ratchet and Clank(60) by a source called gamesTM. I thought it was a bit odd and out of place with most Ratchet reviews so I started looking at other ps3 exclusives they reviewed.

Heavenly Sword - (60) ........ Ok , maybe they didn't like it and that isn't too far off the average of (79) or gamerankings (81). Then I looked at .......

Resistance - (60) :o

Just to round things out Folklore(60) and Lair (30). They didn't review Motorstorm or Warhawk thank goodness.

Then I thought to myself ....... maybe they are just tough reviewers and are tough on all games. So I looked at the 360 and Wii'sexclusives (or semi exclusive) or exclusives at the time.

Nothing too out of the ordinary here ,maybe Blue Dragonbeing AAA

Anyway ........ do you think they are being fair to ps3 games or what ? What are the chances they give Uncharted AAA or a great score ?

Uncharted to me doesn't seem to be a killer app title.I played the demo, and yes, it was pretty to look at, but the controls were awkward (particularly throwing gernades and balancing on beams...I hate that gimmicky sixaxis so much). Also, I remember hearing Naughty Dog say they want to make their character realistic, but how many random and ordinary people can withstand a ton of gernades and bullets? Or make insane jumps from platform to platform, with seemingly no training.

Just doesn't do it for me. I will probably buy it, but it's not a system pusher to me.

I've read a few of their mags. They are usually very hard at rating their games. I've only read two or three of their mags. I didn't realise they were this hard on the PS3.

Definitely some bias there lol.

And to think that I recommended this mag to ppl as being really really good in other threads recently.

i doubt any game reviewer would biase a whole console because there are more than jsut one person that decide the reviews.

If you look closely at a review in Games TM, they don't display the author of the review ever.

I'm pretty sure that is the case if I recall correctly.

So basically you never know which person does the actual review, it's just there.

I like how you paint Fox News as a joke and yet approve of CNN and the BBC when they are just as biased. Maybe biased in the direction you prefer but pretty much every news agency has their own agenda they lean towards.

You are totally correct. CNN and BBC are also biased. You are right. But they are a damn site better than fox news. With fox news you have those weird sound effects every few seconds and it's all sensationalistic garbage. CNN and BBC are more orthodox and report a wider range of international news.
