I'm pretty sure it's already been established that Apple fanboys are referred to as "worms."
As for an Apple console, if it were reasonably priced, boasted a substantial lineup of strong first-party and third-party games, and didn't suffer from any terrible design flaws, I would buy it.
Apple products are almost always inferior. I prefer Linux to Windows and Windows to Mac. I prefer Zen to Zune and Zune to iPod. The Pippin was an absolute joke.
For me to buy an Apple console they'd have to partner with a real company like SEGA, SquareEnix, Capcom, Namco/Bandai, or Konami. But that isn't going to happen.

Apple and Sega would = FAIL, rest might work.
SEGA currently owns many valuable franchises, has experience in the console industry, and has many great (some exclusive, some not) publishing partners (Treasure, Gearbox, Dimps, Platinum). Beyond that, SEGA has been releasing a lot of great games lately (Virtua Fighter 5, Yakuza 2, Valkryia Chronicles, Sonic Rush Adventure, Crush, Medieval PC series). SEGA would be an excellent choice to partner with. If SEGA's creative geniuses like Naka and Suzuki had Apple's resources there's no telling what they could do.

i'm guessing you read that dudes article about how apple should make a console? after reading it i knew someone would make a comment about it. apple can do hardware yes, but i just don't know if they could do video games. at best they could make a console and get multi-plate games. they would probably not even have a drive and people would have to buy games off of itunes, maybe a combo apple tv/console thing. played movies and games. apple is a company who has huge profit margins and companies like microsoft and sony sell a console at a loss. apple would not do this. that would **** on their margins.
I don't see Apple designing a console. I do see them trying to make a handheld, though. Steve Jobs said something about the iPhone being the best handheld platform for games. There's a rather small distance between such statemen and releasing a proper handheld. If they do, though, it would mean Steve Jobs is an idiot. Competing against Nintendo on the handheld market is pretty much impossible.
