Agreed competition makes gaming better, but it sucks that people who call themselves hardcore out and out ignore the PC when they could find it better if they had an open mind.clembo1990

Traditional console gaming has basically already died out this generation. The consoles now more resembles PC's than the traditional "plug-n-play" styIe console.foxhound_fox

If consoles died out: Microsoft would run the world, so would go back to TV's and cameras, and Nintendo would make trading cards. Games would eclipse Crysis in a week, and we'd all have to... Adapt.Engage.Survive!

If consoles died out... someone else would take a shot at selling one after a couple years. The entire console gaming market exists because there is demand; that's not going to change. Some people will move to the PC, but for the most part, there'll be a large, untapped market - and those never sit unserved for long.

I'm all for the death of consoles, and all non-portable development moving to pc. Unfortunately that's not the case so I need a PS3 to get all the games and genres I love.
