Its my birthday and my bros buying me a ps3:D

Anyways, this thread is not about telling if im making a bad decision or not or to get the 360 yet.

I want to know what good games can I buy that have lots of replability value(preferably online). I dont care if they are multiplat or not. And is there any stuff I should get with the ps3 or anything at all?

The reason im buying a ps3? MGS4, Im a big mgs fan and need to play the game. Even if it does wind up on the 360 eventually, Id rather play it on the first day than a year late.

-Warhawk (yes i know they are still working out a few kinks... if and when you can get into a game... its an absolute blast)

as to multiplats I have a semi - personal boycott on multiplats on the ps3... after I bought Marvel Ultimate Alliance and Madden 07, both awesomely crap games imho.

I do enjoy Oblivion (when I have time to play it - which is very rare nowadays).

If you and your bro is gonna play together... you cant go wrong with Super Stardust and Puzzle Fighter.

Oh Yeah One other thing, If you don't have a PS2... Great time to BUY them all now!!! (probably at much cheaper prices than I paid for them).

Depends on what you like to play but there are quite a few good games. I would recommend Warhawk and Resistance as your top choices but you might also like Motorstorm, Virtua Fighter 5, Rainbow Six Vegas, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2, and Marvel Ultimate Alliance.

There is also a wealth of games on the PSN that are worth downloading.

Niether of these games are significantly different on the 360. Madden 07 had different lighting and slightly different textures. I actually preferred Marvel on the PS3 since you could, if you wanted to, use the motion controls for some attacks, but otherwise yes, the 360 had extra buyable content that made it superior to the PS3 version.

single player - Oblivion, Ninja Gaiden: Sigma

multiplayer - Resistance: FOM, Warhawk

If online multiplay is what's important to you I'd go for Resistance and R6:Vegas. Warhawk when the server issues are sorted, which'll take a couple of weeks probably.

I dont like Halo, Ive tried many times to get into it but cant. Mass Effect kinda looks good but it also kinda looks boring at the same time. Besides, my ps2 broke and I really want to play games lie MGS3 and ff12(which I was in the midst of playing whne it broke) again. So BC is also an important thing for me. So instead of getting a ps2 and 360, Im getting a ps3.

Getting a PS3 is your choice and in time may turn out to be a good one. However, the biggest reason that you cite to get a PS3 is MGS 4. I ask you why buy a system for a game that is in all probability a full year away? What other games interest you? I used to own a PS3 and I can say that only RFoM, Motorstorm and the newly released Warhawk were any fun whatsoever. Everything that is good on the PS3 is better by a long shot on 360!!

I hear ya man. I tried to like the MP on Halo dozens of times and cant get into it. I dont understand the craze, but I can respect it. There are so many great FPS out now that demolish Halo. I dont see anything changin in Halo 3. Unless there is a huge diffeence in MP..i'll be skiping over it. I'll be getting my PS3 l8r this month too..See you on Warhawk.

MGS4 comes March. And honestly, I dont think I would want to buy a 360 because my two favorite franchises, MGS and final fantasy are both for the playstation. And I think ps3 will gain momentum soon and until that I could play warhawk and the old ps2 games xD

I would recommend you get RFOM, Motorstorm, and Warhawk if you want to play online.

If you're more into single players, then Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Heavenly Sword, andOblivion are your best bet.

first off im sorry for you. and secondly if you want a play online you will need an eithernet cable cause they dont give you those and secondly if you have a HD TV you need the proper cables because they dont give you those either.

just get oblivion, maybe sigma if you never played ninja gaiden, if you didnt play god of war 2 for PS2 get that, and for FPS action I wouldnt go with resistance i would look at rainbow six or ghost recon or you could just wait for unreal for like a month depends what your in to. then there are the sport games, wait for GT5 for racing games, also got assassins creed coming out in November, GTA, Kill Zone, MGS early next year. drakes fortune and heavenly sword might be pretty good but are questionable.

better yet why not just get an xbox 360 instead and with the $250 that you save get an extra controller $50, Oblivion $50 (ebay), Gears of war $50, two charagable packs and battery charger $50, and a years worth of xbox live gold another $50. that will keep you busy for a while.

for $630 is how much it will cost with tax and all that stuff i listed to get for xbox if you get them all on ebay you might have money left over.

xbox premium, waite to your two free months are used then get a year subscription, buy oblivion and gears of war, extra controller for local multi player and charagable battery packs so you dont have to keep going out and getting batteries.
