Actually, the whole point of DRAKE was to be a non-stereotype.

He's just a regular Joe, and that's what the appeal was. We always see BIG, HUSKING BUFF, MUSCLY MEN in movies, usually bald, with Deep voices. 

If you compare Drake to GeoW, then he's EMO, but in reality, he is just a typical guy.

That's what's impressive, Naughty Dog doesn't do CG, that's all in game stuff.

Drake is far away from being emo. He's the most awesome new character this gen imo. The new look is badass. I'm just saying, I remember people called Sam Fisher emo. Why? because he has facial hair. Drake has some facial hair now, why isn't he considered emo by the cows that called Sam emo?WatchmenWatchUs

I have 5 Drake Posters in my bedroom, and one in the bathroom where I shower. When I put my eyeliner on, I always see my Crow and Drake posters on the ceiling, and it reminds me he's just a normal guy.

he actually has a personality unlike marcus fenix or master chief or nathan hale. imo hes up there with snake claywalker21

From my uderstanding:

1. probably has something to do with cutting oneself and hating the world or

2. a character that is very emotional driven.

Men want to be him and women want to be with him as the old saying goes. Underneath the looks , he is just the , funny , sarcastic , cool , and adventurous guy. He rises to the occasion to kick some arse. He can fight , he can handle his weapons , he is a badass .... no doubt about it.

The nice thing about the character is that he is not just one-dimensional ... he naturally gets scared at times , he is a smartarse at times , and he is greedy as well. He has his share of flaws.
