I'm only aware of 2 halo players in my entire school. One wears a Halo t shirt, the other reads Halo novels during ****
IMO it's a casual game, taken way to seriously by some people.
Halo 1? Not so much.
It doesn't really matter though, Halo 2 is casual in the same way that HS and GoW are casual

A lot of people think its the best thing since sliced bread.
Are you happy?
Halo is a game. It's not meant to be either casual or hardcore persay. It is however marketed towards everyone and is scalable enough and enjoyable enough that casual and hardcore players can both get into it. It's like a rare breed.
I hate tosay it but it's like Madden. Madden is considered to be casual by many but it's really not, an elite Madden player has to remember and be able to prepare for hundreds of different scenarios. Plus in Madden, like in Halo, the difference in skill level between the best players and the worst players is insurmountable but at the same time the lower skilled player can always get lucky. That's what I call balance.

Yes.:D But seriously, that wasn't really aimed at you as much as it was aimed at todays society in general, including myself. I meant no offense.Halo singleplayer is casual, while its multiplayer is hardcoredeleted_basicI'm guessing you didn't play it on Legendary.
I'm not even going to ask you if you played Halo 2 on Mythic...
you have got to be kidding me...:|statiscal data proves xbox 360 has the most hardcore gamers of any console so its not suprise everyone buys it... its more hardcore then metroid, which still wont sell 1/5 the copies on a larger install base.

Halo singleplayer is casual, while its multiplayer is hardcoredeleted_basicI doubt any casual player to beat the game on legendary
can someone please tell me what a "casual" game is? And what is a "hardcore" game?papa_smurf_23A casual game is something that is somewhat shallow and easy to get into, while a hardcore game requires dedication to succeed. Halo and SSB are both very good examples of games that can cater to both groups. There both somewhat shallow from a first impression, but can be mastered with time and dedication.
