So is this excepted now by SW?, I mean of course in reality Wii has won everything. But really I was just wondering do PS3 owners think the Playstation 3 can come back as the preferred HD console in the USA? I would like to hear some opinions?

In terms of sales, everywhere is Wii countrycarlisledavid79
That's why I said "in Reality the Wii has won everything", how ever I think Wii is in a different market then the 2 HD consoles. Nintendo will even tell you this. So as far as HD consoles go I was wondering if PS3 owners think the Playsation can come back?
wow.... is it really that hard to understand the difference between "accept" and "except" ?
Anyway... the US is 360/PS3/Wii country, westerners don't purchase items based on where the company is from, that made it.

I don't think many of us expected the 360 to do so well last month in the US. Is there any good EU numbers?Well according to NPD for 2009 ..... Xbox 360 = 4.77 Million PS3 = 4.33 Million. 360 outsold the PS3 9 out of 12 Months ...... but only once after the SLIM was released. Nonstop-Madness
I don't care what has happened in a time frame YOU would like to reference. The 360 has almost twice the user base of the PS3 im America, All I want to know do PS3 owners think the Playstation will cathup to the 360 here?

Yea cause at the end of the day, everything is made out in China![QUOTE="Nonstop-Madness"]Well according to NPD for 2009 ..... Xbox 360 = 4.77 Million PS3 = 4.33 Million. 360 outsold the PS3 9 out of 12 Months ...... but only once after the SLIM was released. Ultra_Combo

what the...? he told you basically what you wanted to know :| It's not like Japan where they only buy their consoles before even thinking about the 360i wouldnt say that U.S. is 360 country and we hate sony, i just think sony made a lot of people angry when they introduced the ps3 at $600 dollars. sonys arrogance and general attitude made a lot of folks who were ps2 customers, take a hard look at the 360. and when multiplatform games like grand theft auto 4 were announced that they would be coming to the 360 at the same time the ps3 version was coming out, that made people switch IMO
Yes it is.. The gap is bigger in the USA.The US is somewhat of a mix between the 360 and PS3, but the 360 definitely has the upper hand. The difference isn't as big as the PS3 vs. 360 in Japan

Must have been what SE was thinking. NA is 39% of the worldwide video game market after all. I don't think Sony will catch up unless they stop production of the 360s of course, but it may close the gap.Nah, I think that's an exageration. That said, I think its crazy to avoid the 360 if you want to sell your game in NA.

Uhhhh....hmm. Hard to believe the gap could be bigger than non-existent to selling as well as the Wii. Or maybe you just didn't understand what he was saying? Either way you are trying to say that Japan is equal in their Sony and Microsoft sales, which couldn't be further from the truth, and it is more of a head to head battle here in the states.

I didn't say anything about manufacturing
How important is it to be part of the larger group?
I'm part of a smaller group that owns multiple systems and yet I feel like the real winner. ;)

I don't think many of us expected the 360 to do so well last month in the US. Is there any good EU numbers? Nope. But the UK is definitely 360 territory. It isn't though. The gap is something like 8 million in the states in favor of the 360. In Japan it's something like 3 million in favor of the PS3.Either way you are trying to say that Japan is equal in their Sony and Microsoft sales, which couldn't be further from the truth, and it is more of a head to head battle here in the states.

I guess e means the rate in Japan its 5:1 for PS3 but in US its 2:1 for 360.

I guess he did mean ratios. But when you look at an 8 million gap, I would really call that neck and neck at all. Please Log In to post.
