Hey guys, just wondering, Is metal gear online a separate game or apart of MGS4.

If it's part of it , then that would kick all butt. Butt if not, then I would be angry at this and for a FREAKIN 4.3 GIG INSTALL!!!

Please tell me it comes with the game>?!?! If not, then I am going to sue blu ray for false promises that a game couldn't hold multiplayer like GTA4. Not really, but still

Well it comes with the starter pack, so like 5 maps, some weapons, but you'll have to pay if you want more DLC. But it does come with the game.

Well, if you're a PC gamer you'd know Age of Conan is a 30 gig install

Take it with a grain of salt, it's the best exclusive coming to the PS3 I wouldn't complain

Cant believe you said that, im too lazy to do it but someone else will post links owning you. MGS4 comes with the full MGO on a seperate disc, which will be expanded upon later on via DLC (like any other multiplayer game).

From what we've seen here at Konami, there has been some confusion as to what exactly a "Starter Pack" is, so let's put that to rest right now.

The MGO "Starter Pack" that comes with MGS4 (all configurations, detailed above) is a full-fledged, fully-featured multiplayer component of MGS4. It is not a "demo" or "teaser" in any way, as some have speculated. It comes packed with maps, weapons/items, an in-depth character creator – where your character can be personalized, and most importantly, customized – with special abilities that can be "leveled" and improved through experience, the SOP system, and much more. There will also be an extremely deep community experience through a specialized portal that will feature stats, communication, and other never before seen features - which we'll dig into at a later date…

So, you may be wondering why we call it a "Starter Pack", well, the answer is very simple: because it's just the beginning. We have a huge slate of downloadable content planned for the game which encompasses new maps, weapons/items, and much more.

Source

soo a starter pack...doesn't sound like a full game and i don't care what the article says because a starter pack is a teaser, key the name starter pack lol. PR agents say what they do to get sales and hype duh. so i was right at the start it is a teaser/demo to the full game if it is a starter pack. yay!

Well , they are no longer referring to it as a starter pack if anyone has been keeping up with the latest from Kojima Productions ....... there is no full seperate game anymore ...... just mgo with mgs4 and dlc coming later (optional of course).

it is called a "starter pack" because they plan to release DLC as time goes on. It will always be known as a starter pack until there is no more DLC to be released. It will have the basic setup right from the beginning.

well then..iff thats true..... :P u made my point moot.....auh well i'll go annoy some xbox fanboys now and say that the 360 is pointless because all new games coming out on it are copies of ps3 titles :D

cool and if thats true well then it still isn't a full game if they are having maps being released later, like with cod3 when they released new map packs they made it manditory to DL them or u couldn't play online, so like cod3 it will not have full mp......it will have a taste of mp.

So any multiplayer game that has DLC maps available isnt a full multiplayer game? =/ that logic fails.
