We just gotta wait and see. Only a couple days until the review.According to gamerankings, it got under AA from only 2 reviews out of 14(1up and PSX Extreme). Thats pretty good, but this is GS and only GS reviews count on here.
If you read the IGN review it doesn't sound like its worth an 8.9. Lack of gameplay modes, poor replay value, the only unlockables being new skins for the vehicles, etc. The 1up score was more grounded in reality. I think Gamespot will overrate it to keep Sony fans happy. I was hoping the single player would be more fleshed out somehow with all the delays. Instead they release an incomplete online. Nice smooth graphics can't make up for only 8 tracks (doesn't even have reverse tracks). Keep in mind this is a $60 dirt racer with no licensed vehicles. KTHXBYE.
Not a cow but 1up doesnt counts,i mean who the hell believe on 1up reviews?..But by the other hand Ign gave it a 8.9 and Ign exaggerates the scores,not a good sign.Gamespot may give it a 8.0 or a 9.2 at best.Yet i wouldnt surprised if it gets a 8.2 i mean other than the graphics is another Racing game.Burnout is the best racing game Imo.

the game is going to succeed despite the reviews. It appeals to the average gamer bc it pick up and play and extremely fun. there is nothing like it. Poeple are going nuts over this game! Their are gana be tons of poeple buyng this game that didnt even look at reviews
i predict this site gives it a low 7 bc its for the ps3 and bc its a short game. (note GoW is 6-8 hours long mostly played online and a friend of mine said it took him less than 6 hours)Â Motorstorm will be same, short but extremely fun online!
you mean lemmings? there the ones not geting it. do people not get that the score a game gets on a crappy website in NO WAY affects how fun the game actually is. The demo was fun as hell when if first came out and its still just as fun after it got that score.

Gamespot is horrible at rating games. Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 got a perfect 10. Metal Gear Solid got an 8.5 Whatever.PSBox3SixWi
MGA2 got 8.2 and i would say 8.5 at least....Yet is the best site for reviews after Metacritic. Imo you can only trust on Gamespot,Ign but only after visiting gamespot because never,never trust a Ign review if you don't have backup.For example a game you want gets 8.2 on gamespot but a 9.0 on ign that means the game is good and its up to you yet i would check metacritic.
But also i have to mention the 1.0 to 10.0 scale is ambiguous

The majority of the world is biased against the thing cus of what they hear from other people. I never take ratings into account. I try something, then, if i like it, i play it. its that simple.

Is biased because no one wants to pay 599$.No one complains about the wii and imo is not the best damn console ever i mean for the moment is kind of lame.Yet i will wait for the Red wii,SSBB,Proyect Hammer and i will be rdy to go. Yet realize is so damn funny to mock the PS3....by the way does the 60Gb version has the grill because i saw the 20GB and it only does waffles.

Kind of, kind of not. At first the fanboys were talking it up to be 9.0+, especially after the original trailer and hype for the game began, but then the Japanese reviews started coming down and people started talking it up to be 8.0+ instead.
The same thing happened with Lost Planet if I recall correctly.... and maybe a couple other titles I can't think of at the moment.
