I read this topic every other day, why is that? It won the sales war, deal with it. Will it win the games wars? Not on System wars but aren't game completely subjective to taste? Heres my two cents: The wii is winning in sales, and I may like the Xbox360 better butthe wii is still fun. This topic will just bait all wii haters in saying the Wii sucks, which it really doesent.

The Wii wins nothing and it is because it doesn't have competition. It is in a different league in my opinion, it aims a totally different market. Sure it is a gaming console but so is this.

I don't understand why anyone whom could label themselves as a gamer would choose to just get a Wii & not at least have a PC/Xbox360/PS3 with it.

Theres a very distinct difference between sales of the PS2 and sales of the Wii. Even though SW has been using sales to judge the success of consoles, is it so wrong to change to criteria according to each generation?

I find it astounding that people are willing to come to Wii's defense and actually call it the best console in this generation. It just seems wrong to me. It merely succeeded in bringing in broader range of audience, but has it really produced titles that will left us talking about it for years to come? I think not.

Sony have chosen too carry the PS2 onto current gen and it's game library is just too effing amazing for even the PS3 or XBOX360 to compete. So PS2 wins two generations in a row.

PS2 isn't even in this gen. Sony carries the console even when it releases the next iteration. They did it with PS1 and they're doing it with PS2

In terms of sales, the Wii has dominated this generation. Aside from that, the console has awesome games but there is definitely some issues with the system. Many users here clearly made the case that the Wii is not for them, as they support the other consoles. I personally am glad to see Nintendo gain some ground this time around, even I haven't enjoyed all their products of recent time.

Your confussing 2 generations so why not confuse 2 devices which do the same specific thing which is play games. Like someone has previously mentioned that if we change the criteria on how a Console is chosen to be the leading Console to game quality then the GameCube would of been the leading Console of the previous generation.
