of the last two generations. It was undisputed console game of last generation, and nothing this console generation has come close.

Do you think any console game this generation can topple Metroid Prime? I doubt we are going to experience a game of its quality on consoles for a long long time (possibly years). Of course on PC games of that quality (and even greater) are a monthly occurance. But this is strictly consoles. So which console game this gen do you predict can topple Metroid Prime?

Metroid Prime was a great game, wasn't fond of the second, started Corruption the other day and found it to be a solid shooter but the Prime series needs to make way for a new take on the Metroid series, Prime doesn't know if it wants to be a slow paced First person adventure (Metroid Prime) or a shooter heavy, cinematic heavy, casual friendly, Halo wannabe ( Corruption)

I remember playing MP. Though hardly a story, this is the ONLY GAME EVER that i played for the sole purpose of well, err just playing. The gameplay was that good. It got 10 in GS for gameplay. In fact it was more. Every other game was i wanna finish story, i wanna unock blah blah. This game i played for no other reason than its awesome gameplay.r_gam3

MP1 had a very robust story. You just had to do a lot of reading via scanning lore and computers. Prime was amazing because you could go about the story and collect items at your pace and in any order.

I loved the story; that's one thing a lot of people never got to enjoy because they just never had the patience to read all the Pirate Logs, etc.

If I recall correctly the TC is an ardent anti-Wii gamer. So this is probably an april fool's joke.

Regardless, I love Metroid Prime, it's a great franchise.

I loved Prime, but I liked RE4 more.

no prime was amazing err cos it was. I may sound like a fanboy but believe me, there is no other game I can say that about. its gameplay was such that you continued playing no knowing why. Thats when you know gameplay is perfect.

Metroid Prime just sucked in my opinion.
I tried to get in it (and still do)
But I only make it about 20 minutes before I just get really bored.

And even though I know this is flamebait.
I'll go out and say MANY games are able to topple MP this gen.
