So many games to play. Anyone else backlogged like crazy? I simply can't keep up

Dang. Overwhelming. Need a break.

Very much so. I found it hard enough to play all the games I wanted before this holiday season, but now I've got all these games that I still need to beat or buy (at least I beat Uncharted 2 already):

• Dragon Age: Origins
• Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days
• Halo 3: ODST
• Dissidia: Final Fantasy
• Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2
• Demon's Souls
• Assassin's Creed 2
• The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks
• Batman: Arkham Asylum
• Modern Warfare 2

Yup I'm in the same situation. I still have to beat Borderlands and I just bought DA:O and have been playing none stop. I also have to finish Deadspace/UC2 on crushing (already beat it once) and I still have to buy MW:2 in a month (used)

Hopefully I'll get enough time to finish everything before Q1 because if you think I'm backlogged now, I'll have GOW/GT5/MAG/FF. Just too much

Dragon Age on PC is all consuming, although I have just bought FM '10 (yes football manager lemmings been around for longe than forza!) and will be getting L4D2 when it releases. Still haven't played EfLC either. MW2 and others will have to wait I'm afraid.

EDIT crap forgot about Borderlands and I still haven't finished the campaign on ODST!

I have a huge number of games that I have bought that I haven't finished or barely even played at all.
I can count all the games I finished on my fingers(and I'm not some kind of mutant)

Just finished demon's souls and ratchet and clank, still have DA, ninja gaiden sigma 2, tekken 6 and currently playing uncharted 2 with assassins creed a few weeks away.

Only 3 games in my backlog, but I will not buy anymore games until I have beaten these. I don't really care about buying games on day 1 anymore because I will still enjoy them no matter when I purchase them.

This thread reeks of video game addiction. :) I know that I used to waste so much money buying games I never even played. i kept telling myself that I would eventually get around to them, but never actualy did. I wasted so much money on games I'll never play. I'm looking at about 12 of them right in front of me.

But... I only listed the games I fully intend to beat. My backlog is much larger with games I'm not sure if I'll ever beat. :oops:

Ugh not for me. I play it safe and choose certain games I am sure I'll play and enjoy. Most of my preferences go towards RPGs with the occasional shooter, and a really good RTS if one comes out. In most of those RPGs, I easily spend 100 hours +. I just love to immerse myself after work in one entirely new world at a time.

I can't go spending $50 on games I don't play... I'd rather save that money for hardware upgrades to enjoy the games I am sure to play.

I'm so far behind it's not even funny. Still need to finish Uncharted 2, just finished CoD: WaW (after nearly a year, Woot!) And Fri. picking up MW2, and next week the GoW 1/2 Collection. If all works out right I should be caught up 2 years into next gen:P

And... I may be getting MW2 fairly soon. Suffice to say, this should keep me going for months, and yet there's the onslaught of games early next year. MAG, BC2, GoW3, Heavy Rain, Bioshock 2, Blazblue (EU release), Gran Turismo 5...

It's great in one way, and incredibly annoying in another.

Tell me about it. Other games that I rented but never finished. Borderlands. Bad Company. The first Assassins Creed. lol

Same here, i remember earlier this year we were both talking about how huge are backlogs are. Mines gone from around 20 to 4 a few months. My goal is to go into 2010 caught up and ready to buy 2010 games. THis actually feels pretty weird, I've been behind since 2005 so i guess i can expect droughts.

I have 2009 and its average year to thank for me catching up. We definately needed a break year.

I have a small backlog:

- Still need to beat Little Big Planet story mode;

- Need to finish all events on Motorstorm Pacific Rift;

- Need to play more than the 4 or 5 matches i've played on UFC Undisputed 2009;

- And i need to beat Uncharted 2 single player.

Fallout 3 GOTYE has been taking all my gaming time lately.

Not really having games previously, I have an immense back catalogue of stuff I have bought on the cheap and not got round to playing yet. There is so much I feel Im missing out on from previous gens, its not even funny.

And thats not to mention all of the awesome already out this gen.

Let's just say that I probably won't be buying many new games for while (except for Dragon Age). From last gen I still need to finish Persona 4, Digital Devil Saga 1 & 2, Forbidden Siren, Fatal Frame II, RE: Code Veronica X and FFX and from this gen I've got Mirror's Edge, Killzone 2, GTAIV, Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena and Half-Life 2: Episode Two on the backburner.

I have a huge backlog as well. Here are the games I have yet to finish:

And with my recent purchase of my 360 (only got it because it came with a $100 Amazon Gift Card) I'll be playing even more.

Platted Uncharted 2 (but still play the multiplayer with friends), just started Demon's Souls (only beat the first boss), still haven't touched Brutal Legend, WAS playing Wolfenstein (need to finish it), still need to beat Resistance 2 on Hard to unlock Superhuman (trophy hunting playthrough), and I still kinda wanna play Batman: Arkham Asylum all the way through...again (already Platted it, considering Re-platting it on my alternate account). My wish list of games is retarded. It's almost 30 games right now. I'm also bitter because I beat inFamous (Good run) and started my Evil run on Hard, but I can't finish it because I borrowed it from a friend and don't have money to buy it yet.:cry:

Plus between those other games I've been playing Critter Crunch. :P

EDIT: Sidenote, a friend of mine's backlog is RIDICULOUS. Between PS2, 360, and PS3 it's somewhere between 250-300 games. I think he's beaten about 50, haha.

At some points I ended up buying too many games at a time, now I cut it down to 3 or less at a time, my friends need me, and so do other games.:P
