So, no racing games for the Move then?

Seeing as how the move is motion tracking and not motion sensing i really don't see any racing games using move

with the wii mote it just tracks left to right steering motions, but with the move the PSeye has to track the motion of that ball, but if you are playing a racing game then you'll have to hold the move sideways in which your left hand will be covering up the ball....meaning the PSeye cannot track it cause it'll be out of site

of course this is just me thinking in my head, but it makes sense though right?

I understand what you're saying.

There's no point to use Move for racing games, if you want a more fun and precise input thats not a controller, just use a wheel. Like i do :P

I think you might need two of those glow sticks or even have to buy the secondary controller. I can't really picture how you can just use one of the glow sticks to steer too but maybe the PSeye might help some how. We'll see.

As I recall the move has traditional motion detectors too, to supplement the ball tracking.

That and probable one of the dozen or so patented addonsis for racing.:P

Just buy a Logitech wheel, that's the way to experience a racing game on the PS3. Btw, GT5 will have Move support, nobody knows what that means but hey it's in there.

I think everyone in this thread forgot about that.... but the sixaxis works perfect for racing games.....

my friend's son uses it for Motorstorm... and I know others how have home made steering wheels that they just put the controller in....kind of like how the wiimote fits into that steering wheel plastic thing.

Does Move come with voice recognition like natal? I haven't read anything about that feature in Sony's realm, anyone know? Natal can then add "ford/Microsoft Sync" features to racing games. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if Microsofts Natal uses Sync's voice recoggnition software somewhere in its code, and it's pretty acurate software...

Logitech Wheel for the hardcore, and Sixaxis/Dual Shock 3 for those gamers looking to get their jollies off without costing too much to race.

The move doesn't just track the ball, but the controler itself also has motion sensors just like the Wii. So it also measures tilts and rotation. The ball just makes it more precise (also for tracking the position of the controller). So I guess it would be possible to play a racing game by just tilting the Move (though with the ball on one side, I don't think that's really gonna be comfortable), but I suppose you could use two controllers held upright in paralell.
