If I were MS I would move heaven and earth to launch November 5th alongside Call of Duty in the US and UK. When you look at the 360's success you see strong sales in those markets and just being a bit competitve everywhere else. Japan is a wash. But two weeks lead in for the US and UK markets, along with I hope a pack in would set the One on a damn good start nin my opinion. MS must do well in those markets. Everywhere else, just have a presence.
[QUOTE="seanmcloughlin"]They should to counter it, lol.I reckon they might release before

Well it's financially stupid to release later seen as that would be in December then. So earlier seems very likely. Would be fun if it did

4) The Xbox One comes out between November 19 and November 29, on or after the release of the other versions of Watch Dogs but not after Black Friday, the biggest shopping day of the year. SEEMS LIKELY
I feel like MS has to release either on the same day or before. They can't afford to have PS4 out there with COD and Fifa without having their platform out. That's suicide.
If the Xbone misses black friday...then its gg
I have to think now that the PS4 has a hard launch date, that MS is going to try and steal any momentum they can from the PS4 launch and beat Sony out the door. I am going to predict the XBOX ONE launches on Tuesday, November 5th. Your thoughts?ShoTTyMcNaDeS

Disagree, as thats something no company typically does, launch a similar product on the same day. Look, we all know Sony was gonna do exactly what MS was DRM wise before sony saw the reaction MS was getting and switched course that very day, as well as price. MS took a beaten but I think they learned something, and not announcing a release date I think is a planned reaction to letting Sony go first. Mark my words, Id bet a months pay MS moves heaven and earth to launch November 5th with Call of Duty in at least the US, but maybe the UK as well. Even if they have to launch outside the US in late November. To be able to have more than ten days on the market in the areas they are strongest would set the One off to a very good start. And if they were to add a pack-in game ala Europe, wow! I think Madden 25, seeing as how MS already is the official console of the NFL would be a nice US pack-in. We shall see, but I would bet the farm we see the One on US shelves before the PS4 is.Word is M$ wants to launch Nov. 5th,however,after hearing that the console had some kind of a perfomence drop of some sort, dont know the details,I wouldnt be surprised if they launched shortly after.
Even if M$ launches Nov.5th,i doubt it will make much of a difference in sales, most people have already made up their mind.
In order to survive next gen they have to pump out some awesome exclusives otherwise they will just fade away and not make another console.
November 19th which I think is 2 days before Thanksgiving in the US and 3 days before Black Friday.
It goes with what Microsoft did with the other systems release them the week of Black Friday.
i dont think ms are ready for a early nov launch. even if they launch 2 weeks ahead of ps4 it will hardly have an impact, casuals are not that impatient but it would be sucide to launch after ps4.
November 15 is a slick date by Sony.
Right in the middle of the month - gives them a 2-week head-start on the Holiday Shopping Season and forces Microsoft to ship earlier then what they may have been originally planning.
Considering Microsoft already had to reallocate European units to make the North American demand, they really can't rush any more on this without causing a logistical nightmare.
Microsoft might be forced to ship 2 weeks after the PS4.

Not sure about Europe. They might do the same thing there as well.
