In comparison PS3 has had AAAE games from Metal Gear, Resistance, Killzone, LBP, Uncharted, Infamous, Demon's Souls, MLB, God of War.

When every iteration in those series you mentioned will make millions and sell millions, why deviate?

Why invest many more millions to potentially launch a flop?

Those games have formulas that are tried and true and are basically a recipe for profit.

Which, weirdly enough, is what they're looking for at the end of the day...

Yes, lets all forget it's taken Sony nearly 20 years to buy up all of these studios and consolidate them into Sony first party dev houses. MS hasn't been in the business nearly as long so of course they aren't going to have as large as a first party as Sony or Nintendo, ESPECIALLY since the first Xbox did so poor. They are srtill making up losses from last gen, why in the hell would they take on the added cost of maintaining unproven dev houses?

I'd rather have more games, but I have to give it to them, MS played their entry into this gen of consoles incredibly smart. They took some knocks, but I'll be damned if they haven't solidified a place for themselves in this market.

Maybe you'll see more exclusives from them next gen.

Forza is a joke compared to GT, Gears is ok but Epic is thinking about going multiplat and Uncharted kicks Gears ass, and Halo has gotten boring and stale over the years, Killzone is more advanced which makes Halolook andfeel outdatedand COD basically stole Halo's thunder.

LBP is the only game series I have never gotten bored of, every time I turn my game on there is so much new things to see. Some people's levels suck yes, but there are some really amazing ones that make you drop your jaw, and it's all made by normal every day people like you and me. I played this awesome Skyrim level on it, they had a drago and everything. It's also great when you get your buddies together on it.

LBP 1 was my personal GOTY in 2008 when it came out, I know alot of people like to bash it becasue it looks like it'ss for kids. But those people are idtiots, LBP is a game for EVERYONE and the only people who say they hate it have never played it before.

Basically I think PS3 games are good and diverse, but they're just not games that too many people want to play.

I'm a PS3 fanboy and I really have no desire to play UC, God of War or any of that, basically zero interest.

I would get excited about playing Killzone, except when I remember that I have to use that goofy controller with the trigger shoulders.

PS3 is conceptually awesome, and viscerally crap.

360 is conceptually crap, and viscerally awesome.

Laugh at Halo all you want, but when I got done with Reach I had to peel my sweaty ass off the seat. That's when you know you had a good time, when your ass gets sweaty.

PS3 games don't really give me these feelings.

It's like "ho hum Dude Raider, this controller sucks"

And it's really a shame because I know they're trying hard and doing good work, and I want to like it but it's just plain not fun.

:lol: 4 sure. Lets see, halo from 5 to 10 million depending on title, gearse average about 6 million( last one at 5), forza?? forza 3 and 4 are most bundled game of generation( heck maybe of all time). Forza 4 sold 1.8 atm.

- gt5 7.3 million + prologue 5 million

- uncharted averages 5 million

- first lbp sold 5 million

- mgs4 on road to 6 million

- gow3 on road to 5 million

- 2 killzone titles over 5 million

- so hated resistance games sold over 7 million. And where are infamous, motorstorm etc games.???
