So people who are missing out on Halo4 are starting to like COD all of a sudden?

Its funny how people are liking COD all of a sudden so close to Halo 4s relese. Is this just damage controls since certain gamers arent getting halo4?If so Battlefield 3 would be a better alternative.

Not everybody in systemwars likes COD so suddenly but their are alot.

Doubtful. Treyarch and IW have far more experience with balancing out killstreaks and loadouts. Say what you will about CoD but these are the guys who pretty much invented these mechanics. Nobody else is better at them.

I just got MW3 and wow, it is the best shooter I have ever played in my life. It's gameplay is perfect, sure it may have not changed much from past COD games but who cares? When it's this good it's ok.

It's online is so feature rich but it succeeds because it has both quality AND quantity, where as other FPS games only have quality (KZ) and others only have quantity (Halo), Modern Warfare 3 has bothannonymous

MW3 has great maps, Sea Town is awesome. I love just sitting in a room and killing people when they run by. I get huge kills and no deaths. The campaign in MW3 is much better than MW2, but not quite as over the top. But it is much longer than MW2 campaign, which I consider the shortest (still good though).

COD4 and Black Ops have the best campaigns.

Only good thing about BF are the graphics and destructable enviornements, but that's it. COD is far superior. Especially in campaign which is a joke in BF. And I have BF, look at my gamer tag if you don't believe me.

Let's seperate fact from fiction a moment.

...Other than Halo, Medal of Honor and Killzone, what other FPS "franchises" (aka poor FPS's attempts that are forgotten) has come close to the greatness that is COD?

The best multiplayer- Yes.

Graphics- excellence (Black ops and WAW looked the best however)

Control- The definitive version

Plus...

Extra maps, spec ops mode, Zombies, a captivating and fantastic campaign every time etc. I could go on and on about COD being that it offered the most replayability outclassing the majority this gen; but I'm certain there are more than a few idiots who are not hardcore enough and or aren't a "real gamer" to appreciate greatness. You certainly couldn't play SMG 1 or 2 (rehash attempt) more than once. Metroid prime was a poor excuse of a FPS.

Resist the urge to bring up crappy FPS's like Borderlands, Metro (stupid game), Homefront (knock-off COD) and the long line of COD clones that are on the market. Fact is, there's a good reason COD's the best selling FPS.

I dont see how is Halo 4 similar to CoD! After watching a few vids, Halo is one of the few shooter series that still look unique.

I liked COD since COD2, it was my first 360 game. However it was COD4 that really got me into the series, and I've been hooked ever since. I have been hyping Black Ops 2 way before Halo 4 was even announced yet.

I don't hate Halo, hating a game is just stupid. It just doesn't look very interesting much, the gameplay looks very outdated and slow, you can't even aim down sigts and it takes FOREVER to kill someone, the guns feel so weak. Unlike COD where you kill someone in one or 2 shots.

I hope Halo 4 ends up being a good game so the fans will be happy. It's just not my kind of shooter, it used to be, but that was last gen.

I just ignore games I don't have much interest in or don't like.

I would be mad though if I bought a game and it ended up being a total piece of garbage though, then I just wasted money. That's how I felt about Battlefield, Left4Dead, Halo 3, Final Fantasy 13......all of these games made me wish I could have gotten my money back.

Halo 4 has offically been casualized. Game=Dead. (exept to kiddies and super hardcore fans of the series)

They are both great franchises, difference is 360 owners get to play both. Only a fanboy would deny how awesome the Halo franchise is. If it wasn't for Bungie, FPS may not be where they are today on the consoles. Halo was and is amongst the best console franchises of all time. If you don't want to take my word for it, just look at the scores it gets and the amount of people who buy every game released in the series. There were people playing Halo 2 up until they shut down the servers. Also a few pwople I know wouldn't turn the game off so they could keep playing after they took them down. I look at games like Killzone 2 where there is no community playing it anymore. I tried playing a match online the other day and there was one game going on with 2 people in it. I think all the Halo hate is nothing but pure JELLY. Unfortunately I don't have a gold account so I can't play the online (no I'm not poor, I just like to spend my money in other areas of my life), but I will play the SP campaign and if I find a gold card for cheap, I will get it for nothing other than Halo 4 online. If Halo stays the same, it get trashed, if it evolves, it gets trashed, if it adds in concepts from other games, it gets trashed. Take a look at all the things CoD copied off Halo, shall we????

Let me expand that reach list for you...enemy variety, gun variety, physics, graphics, story, vehicles, menus, file share, strategy, skill, and many more all trump COD.

Is it okay to like both? I mean I haven't played a Call of Duty game since Modern Warfare 2 which I didn't like very much, but I really enjoyed the first Modern Warfare and Black Ops 2 has me interested. Halo 4 is one of my most anticipated titles and I've loved every Halo since the first.

So is it okay to like both?

Call of Duty as we know it died after CoD4. Now it's just a kiddy shooter that even a o9ne armed gimp can get a kill streak in.

Yeah, I agree that Halo was pretty innovative, it was the reason I bought the original Xbox. I still have that green Xbox that came with Halo bundled to it, but now I'm so broke that I may have to sell my Xbox 360 and all of my games on it in order to pay for rent. :( ...
