So, ps3 vs 360 in 2010

Which console had a better year in your opinion?

I've got both consoles but all the games I wanted to play were either 360 exclusives, an eventual multiplat that still isn't out on PS3 yet (ME2), a multiplat game that was pretty terrible on PS3 (Bayonetta) or a multiplat game that was equal on both but I purchased for 360. Oh wait, that's not true. I did buy and enjoy Heavy Rain, but that was my only PS3 purchase for the year.

360 by far for the type of gamer I am and the type of games I play.

Locopatho made this graph before Super Meat Boy and Fable3 come out so you could add an A game and an AAA doenloadable game to 360 but we have yet to see GT5 score.

Anyway, i would say both consoles will end the year about tied in retail games. Overall 360 clearly wins :)

Actually it doesnt matter which games are exclusive since this is a PS3 vs 360 debate without using the PC. I also dont think he added ME2 for the PS3 though.gaming25

Mass Effect 2 is coming to PS3 in 2011. This is about ps3 vs 360 in 2010.

This was probably the 360's worse year since it launched, the PS3 demolished the 360 in games. People voting for the 360 are just anti Sony. iWin1337

Man, it sure would be nice if people attempted to justify their choice. I take the time to list the games released in 2010 for each system (and still didn't come up with a clear winner), but it seems the majority of the responses are "PS3, no question." No explanation given, no games mentioned, nothing....just nut-huggery at its finest.redbird19

I'm a 360 guy myself, but things look pretty close when I try and list the games (am I missing any?): Notable games for the PS3 released in 2010: God of War III MAG Heavy Rain Yakuza 3 MLB '10 Notable games for the 360 released in 2010: Mass Effect 2 Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction Alan Wake Halo: Reach Fable III All other notable games that I could think of were released for both systems. Based on these lists.....I don't know....flip a coin?redbird19

Because of Heavy Rain I'll say PS3 for me, out of those two choices. Overall the Wii has been the best with SMG2 and NMH2, atleast exclusive-wise, imho.

But yeah, let's look at the responses I got when I made my original list ALL THE WAY back on the 28th. I created detailed lists of games only available for one console. Then I listed games released for both consoles where one version was clearly better. And then broke down what the lists showed: The PS3 has a slight edge in highly rated exclusive titles, but tends to get the "bad" version of a lot of great multiplat games.

And what were (most of) the responses? Same bunch of BS. Got a bunch of people saying certain games "shouldn't count"....which is probably the stupidest argument I've ever heard....followed by others who said IGN ratings can't be trusted (I could have posted similar Gamespot ratings, but I imagine those couldn't be trusted either)....and that was pretty much it.

I don't know why I expected more, but there's just very little substance to this forum at all.

PS3 has had nothing good this year, 360 had Mass Effect 2, Reach, Alan Wake, Splinter Cell, etc..

The poll clearly shows the disproportionate amount of PS3 to 360 gamers in here.

I want to say Wii got 2010 here.
