So.. Splinter Cell Convicition is Possible on PS3

According to a Finnish gamer on the PS3Forums, he claims, "Well that's pretty faulty translation. The dev never says, that the game wouldn't be possible on the ps3. He only states that IF they would have gone multiplatform, they would have to change the lightning effects radically because of the differences of coding for each consoles. He actually says nothing bad about the PS3."

I hope it doesnt come to the PS3 though, Ubisoft sucks so bad at porting the games.

Yeah, PC and the XBox platform are always the primary focus of Ubisoft's Splinter Cell games, everything else is always a decent to bad port.

there is no Ubisoft game I like, all their games dont suit my taste. GRAW, Rainbow Six, Prince of Persia, Splinter Cell etc. by looking at my sig, you can tell the type of games I am into. Ubisoft games are too western for me, I can see why some people love their games though. personally, I prefer EA to Ubisoft, imo, Burnout alone, pretty much destroys all Ubisoft games, also games like Fight Night, SSX etc aint that bad.

I doubt it..PS3 have the Cell and RSX. If they take advantage of it ..i see PS3 games lookin way better..I only seeing exclusive takin advantage  the cell ..Factor 5 is usin it for a Lair..and that game can onlly be run on the PS3 because of the cell..Lemming owned!!  for thinkin SC cant be done on the PS3..lol..

I can beat god of war  in 9 hours or less and it was a great game..  if  you want longer games stick with rpgs.. also in lair you can keep palyin it to acheive different medals and unlocked certain stuff to extend the game.. but yeah lemming got owned!!! :lol:

But the overall picture is that you don't like Ubisoft because they stated that they can't pull off the lighting effects that Splinter Cell 5 will demand on the PS3 as opposed to the 360. They undermined your console of choice, and now your pissed. It's perfectly fine to not like certain games published or developed by Ubisoft, but to say that the company sucks despite having many critically acclaimed games with many awards under their belt is just blind and ignorant.

SPLINTER CELL is a great game, thats the problem with fanboys once a developer says it can't be done on a certain console.

I agree with you  this series came out fast 5 splinter cell games in 5 years but they all were great.

I think that you self owned yourself, you think that the 10.4 MILLION 360 owners will all buy it, If I remember corectly gear of war sold 4 million so not every 360 fan owned it. but the splinter cell series is great if it was coming on the ps3 SONY fans wouldn't say it is crappy because they aren't they are great.

I find them crap for several reasons, my main reason is that, Ubisoft lacks diversity. games like GRAW, Rainbow Six and EndWare the same. Prince of Persia and Assassin's Creed are the same. EA has more variety of games than Ubisoft.

Yes they are crap devs who have made 2 AAA, and 2 AA so far with their Tom Clancy line this gen. So shut up. Everyone of those games has scored better then RFOM except SC:DA. What else needs a break? Ratchet and Clank, 5 games now? Eeek! That started at around the same time as Splinter cell. 

Splinter Cell and Ratchet are bothing having the 5th game in development at the moment.

If anything they both need a break, they are both bad.

Yes they are crap devs who have made 2 AAA, and 2 AA so far with their Tom Clancy line this gen. So shut up. Everyone of those games has scored better then RFOM except SC:DA. I fail to see how you can say they suck unless you are going to admit that a lot of other devs and yes your precious PS3 sucks as well. Ubisoft is an amazing dev they are just among the worst when it comes to porting games. But this shouldn't be an issue for a cow like you. You're used to devs saying all the time that "Game-X" is only possible on PS3 and not on 360. Now that it doesn't go you're way you have to go and cry about it.

• GRAW = AAA
• R6 Vegas = AAA
• GRAW2 = AA
• SC:DA = AA

review is nothing more than someone's opinion. I dont care if a reviewer give games like GRAW and Rainbow Six all the AAAAAAAs in the world, its still just his/her opinion.

Sorry here on GS reviews opinion is the law. If you don't like it then leave. If you are going to discredit their opinion why should  I not discredit yours, someone elses, or hell even my owns? The GS review is law here not your opinion and those games barring SCDA are all better then RFOM on Gamerankings as well.

Every single Spliner Cell game has averaged around 85% in reviews. It is by no means a bad game. The third one had arguably the greatest console multiplayer of last gen. It was amazingly good. The fourth, double agent, was also awesome. Splinter cell is crap on the playstation, because it is always ported and of lesser quality

So get your facts straight. Splinter Cell is awesome.

I doubt it..PS3 have the Cell and RSX. If they take advantage of it ..i see PS3 games lookin way better..I only seeing exclusive takin advantage the cell ..Factor 5 is usin it for a Lair..and that game can onlly be run on the PS3 because of the cell..Lemming owned!! for thinkin SC cant be done on the PS3..lol..

Yea enjoy all 8-10 hours of Lair with no MP...whatever happened to BU, BUT TEH Blue-RAY maaakezzz teh gammerzzz BIGGER

I can beat god of war in 9 hours or less and it was a great game.. if you want longer games stick with rpgs.. also in lair you can keep palyin it to acheive different medals and unlocked certain stuff to extend the game.. but yeah lemming got owned!!! :lol:

i dont need to stick to RPGS, online multiplayers is more fun....and if acheivements are so bad, how come the PS3 put truphies in HOME to steal acheievements thunder :lol: OWNED...wow ur bad at this

multiplat does not = to more money. In many cases, it resulted loss of money. (MGS2 for example)

With the long delay it takes to make the port, and the usual lower quality equals to poor sales in ported console. Not to mention the money it takes to port the games over.

If a game isn't developed from scratch to go multi-plat and made to be optimized to one system, it is best not to port that game over to another system.

normally multiplats= more money but that's only when their are a lot of consoles on either side. like i said, 10.4 million > 3 million. the 360 is where the money's at. that's why some playstation exclusive games went to the 360, either as multiplat (dmc4) or exclusive (ace combat 6).

I think that you self owned yourself, you think that the 10.4 MILLION 360 owners will all buy it, If I remember corectly gear of war sold 4 million so not every 360 fan owned it. but the splinter cell series is great if it was coming on the ps3 SONY fans wouldn't say it is crappy because they aren't they are great.

Then they just suck, and don´t tell me it´s the ps3´s fault, weve seen plenty of games that have proved the ps3 can do good grafix, sound and so on, ubisoft keeps making crappy ports so somethings up, and if they don´t understand how to use the ps3 they suck, cause it´s their job.

and do you think 3 million ps3 owners will buy mgs4, hell no. if i remember correctly, only 100,000 copies of R:FOM were sold. the point is, the more consoles a company sells, the more people there are to likely buy a kick ass game for that console. it took 2 months to sell more copies of GeOW than 6 months of selling the ps3 (4 million copies of gears > 3 million ps3). most ps3 games have yet to sell more than 1 million.
