so the vita is supposed to be comparible to the ps3 right?

they said the 3ds is supposed to be comparibel to the wii, but the only 3ds game that looks good is street fighter honestly.

even pacman dimensions looks like a wii game to me...

its just that wii games you play on your tv which is much bigger...

3ds games look HD to me at times with the 3d on..

oh ffs where do people get the idea Vita is as powerful as PS3? sure some games look great on tiny handheld screens but that doesn't mean the system is uber powerful. People said the same about 3DS and look how that turned out

Pilot Wings and Zeldahave, at best, PS2 graphics. And that's pushing it.

Answer to OP: I don't compare handhelds to consoles. They are smaller and weaker than consoles for a reason.

3DS = Comparable to graphical levels between the Gamecube and Wii in native 2D (No 3D Option)

Comparable to the graphical levels of the Gamecube/PS2 when natively programmed for 3D

Playstation Vita = Comparable to between Wii and Xbox 360 levels of graphics. These can be done because the lower resolution displays.

Pixel to pixel I could easily see the PSV being essentially identical to the PS3 in performance. Keep in mind that it only has to push about one fourth as many pixels as the PS3 would (assuming 1080 output). Even if the difference isn't that great it's not that hard to imagine.

After all the PSP is definitely capable of displaying similar graphical prowess to the PS2 and it only came out about 4 years after the PS2 released. The PSV will have been a 5 year gap when it releases.
