Game has some problems but mother of god does it look good. Probably the best use of Cryengine 3 outisde of a Crytek game.

I was testing to see how under the radar it was. It should be pretty obvious thats lichdom if you have seen any gameplay from the UI etc.

O yes 1 in about a 1000 games look like this and then you get Garbage Truck Simulator that doesn't actually work. and those screens don't even look that good, the only problem with PC gaming is you have 100s opon 100s of rubbish games and every few 100 you get a gem.

Damn. Don't have the time to play but it was in my most anticipated game list this year. Gonna buy it after I finish witcher 2 and divinity original sin.

CryEngine sure is nice

I don't really view that as a problem.

Skyrim's magic is probably the closest comparison but it feels a bit meatier and there is a lot more depth to it.

Its not open world, the game progresses linearly but there are some larger areas and some side areas you can explore. Best comparison for linearity is probably Bioshock Infinite, some bits are totally linear while others open up a bit and let you look around for loot.

@bezza2011: I should have mentioned in the OP that I am not using the highest settings plus it looks a bit fuzzy due to image compression. I am running the game on high, it goes one or two levels above that.

Lichdom Battlemage is considered under the radar? They had like the biggest booth in PAX... If you want to boast about obscure games looking good just post something about "The Vanishing of Ethan Carter"...

That still adds up to more gems than the number of decent games in all three consoles COMBINED.

So I don't particularly see it as a problem. In fact, it is precisely BECAUSE anyone can put a game out on PC that there are so many gems.

There are supposedly 400 million pc gamers yet Lichdoms all time player peak is 868 and a mere 163 people playing right now. Hope they at least broke even.

Looks fun though, I may pick it up when it's on sale.

well the first few people who came in didn't know what is was based on the screens plus literally no one talks about it so that makes it under the radar by SW standards

What's more likely is people think it looks fun but not worth full price so they're waiting for a sale.

Sure the game will continue to sell but most games peak at launch.

People think the same of many games.

You think there aren't a lot of people who see dead Rising 3 as a game that looks fun but not worth full price? Dead Rising 3 peaked at 11k players and I guarantee you that more people are waiting for DR 3 to go on sale than Lichdom.

I know right? This game gets no coverage and its pretty damn good. Its sad.
