Nice try Sony at your attempt to tap into the casual market. Wait, PS3 has none
I will be surprised if it hits 500k.
Honestly, a kiddy looking game like that being hyped up by cows?

You think it won't? LBP has the potential to be HUGE!blue_hazy_basic
Definately... And I honestly hope it does VERY well so developers will take more chances on games like these... HOWEVER I've yet to see a PS3 game really take off sales wise and it's already 19 months into the system's life cycle. :?

There was Prologue, that sold like 2.26 million pretty quickly. Not bad for a Prologue, that's the only real big gun released so far. CoD4 sold like 3 million or so on the PS3..
But yeah, there hasn't been a real big hit on the Playstation yet like Final Fantasy or Gran Turismo. The X360 already had Halo, Forza and Gears.

Prepare to be surprised then, cause its generating lots of interest and hype, from gampeplay vids it looks like loads of fun and creating levels will be great...
Viva Pinata was a platinum hit, nothing stop LittleBigPlanet following the same way...Pietrooper
Pinata was a simulation, things grew on their own with your help, and animals interacted etc, it was not a simplistic platformer, with gameplay from 10 years back
The gameplay is so simplistic, like a 2 year old programmed the game, it is funny but that is not a game, is a level editor kostmpekir
inform yourself.
I'd say it may hit 1-2 milion but generally will be praised and fly under the radar.Flamestos
A 'million' is NOT flying under the radar.

good for you then you're not obliged to buy the game... go hype Too Human or Fable2 !!!

To me selling a million isn't a big thing anymore considering how big the gaming market is but to each their own I guess.
I think 98% of the developers out there wouldn't mind if their games flew under the radar if that is still flying under the radar.[QUOTE="Flamestos"]I'd say it may hit 1-2 milion but generally will be praised and fly under the radar.Nike_Air
I don't think selling 1 million for a game like Little Big Planet is that big of a deal considering the praise it will likely have but then again given games like Okami/Ico etc... you may be right.

[QUOTE="-Wheels-"]Every major 2d platformer level within the last 20 years will be re-created by LBP users. Epicness has arrived on the PS3.donwoogie
OMG! I never thought of that! :D
I reckon I'll try to remake mario games on it! :P
you stole my idea!Hahahah. It's funny because the 360 has less casual market. It's all been lost to Wii, which game out a year after. :D :D :D At least cows can say that the Wii came out at the same time and it was hard to start off. You had a year head start. :D :D :D
I really think LBP is cool. I can't wait for it to come out and I'm 16.

The 360 NEVER had the casual market... The Original XB just started to break into the casual market when M$ pulled the plug. The 360 has been targeted towards "Hardcore gamers" since it's launch. Hell look at the lineup of games... The only two "kid friendly" games I can think of (off the top of my head) are Kameo and Viva..
And Madden ofcourse.

Dude...the Xbox has had the casual market for a long time...
You don't seriously consider Halo hardcore do you?
I have seen lesser games sell, I don't see why not.
(am I the only one that sees the possible mechanic education value for children?)
