Playing any of the various single player games that exist on PS3, because they don't rely on multiplayer shooters for their exclusive fix.
Or you know, any of the various multiplats. Today I'm playing Dark Souls on PS3 (still reticent to play it much since its terrifyingly hard and complex), and Battlefield 3 on my PC, that's after work though.
Absolutely notasinglef*** was given. Didnt even know PSN was down and wouldnt have even known if it werent for system wars (Keep in mind I wouldnt have even if I WAS playing on PS3, because I would be playing Skyrim):)

If you're going to play Skyrim on anything but the PC, you shouldn't be playing Skyrim at all.

Is it really that hard to turn a bind eye on that matter? Is it really too hard to let people play what they want on any platform they desire?
Ah. Working at my 9-5pm web site management job... Why are you playing battlefield 3 during work/school hours? Unless u are working 2nd or 3rd shift... Go out and look for a job. When I get home I will eat dinner with my wife and two kids. Play some local co-op with them on lbp2 or watch a show with m wife. After the kids are in bed I will spend some te with wife ....err ... And then by that time PSN will prob be back up, but I wouldn matter anyway as I will stay up til 3:00am playing skyrim like I have been doing since 1:03 am Friday of last week. I typically don't play multiplayer, occasionally a match o warhawk or uncharted 3 mp everything else is single player or local mp... Oh or I could go play one of the 200+ games on my PC, psp, or ds.

I want the trophies ad I plan to platinum this game (will be my first ) and i love the feel of this series with a gamepad for rumble of the dragon wings an when connecting in melee combat. Wish PC mice had force feedback or the PC version allowed gamepad with force feedback. I will play the PC version when the construction set comes out... And run some mods and maybe make a few. Skyrim has taken over my Gaming life in a big way.. And to think I was skeptical that it would be another dumbed down dragon age 2 scenario.

This. I was going to mention this, but I love how oblivious TC is to the fact that the majority of the PS3's userbase (as well as the 360's userbase) is either in school or at work right now. (im in class on my laptop lol) By the time most of them get home PSN will have been back up and none of them would have even noticed :lol:.
Like I said, I would not even have known PSN was down if I wasnt reading System Wars. I just love seeing lemmings scramble for any semblance of "ownage" (lol) they can scrape up. I also love how people are oblivious to the fact that PSN has "scheduled maintanance" like this all the time, and for the most part goes unnoticed. That is, until a 360 fanboy who clearly spends all day on XBL and on the internet points it out ;)
I just played a match of BF3 online, so I am apparently not affected by any outage. Actually, everytime there is scheduled maintenance I am still able to get online. Weird, but can't complain.

Could be a regional thing. I think the TC is getting a little carried away. Personally, I don't mind small amounts of downtime if it means a better functioning service.
I like how people make fun of gaming systems online being down, and wondering how they will cope with it. Yet they themselves aren't even using their own online system, but just posting online like the rest of us.

(Lol PS3 has more shooters why u mad and trying to act like I am?)
I've been playing Oblivion. I also want to play InFAMOUS 2 and maybe some Uncharted 3. PSN being down for just one day doesn't really affect me. I am not one of those gamers why cry and weep without online. I survived and enjoyed gaming for 18 years without online multiplayer so it's really no big deal.
I would have to say they are having absolutely NO PROBLEMS finding stuff to do. They are used to the network being down. Maybe sony should start a "what to do when PSN is down" website.. but I guess, it would just go down too XD - sorry its one of the few times i get to laugh at cows :)

Umm.. not agreeing/disagreeing here, but comparing xbox live being shut down for MAINTENANCE vs BEING HACKED or technical glitches is not the same at all. You should've brought up the "holiday CoD4 crash" that happened to live if anything. - What will i do during the maintenance coming? Be grateful Ms is constantly changing and improving their products, and giving me new features and stuff to make use of. So yeah.
