So what did Microsoft show? LOL Mass Effect...

Halo 3, Halo wars , Viva Pinata 2.Only these were exclusives for 360.And the rest, for example RE5 , Assassin's Creed , Rock Band etcwere all multiplat and are also releasing on PS3.
Xbox 360 was going great until this E3.But because of lack of some new announcements like Dead Rising 2 ,LostPlanet 2, Kameo 2 and some new exclusive titles.They left behind from PS3.Sony had a great conference and lot of games.Even they announced few new games too.
Microsoft fans used to say that ,"What we need at E3 is just only a single player campaignfootage of Halo 3 then E3 would be ours".Halo 3 footage was shown but it alone cannot stand against such big titles of PS3 like Metal GearSolid 4 ,Gran Turismo 5and some new games for PS3 like Infamous.
Moreover 360lost its exclusive Top spin.Which was supposed to come on 360 butit is now multiplat.And games like Haze , UT3 although are time exclusives but it will gonna hurt Xbox 360 sales.

And what I saw .... .... Gears OfWar on PC???

I never saw Metal Gear Solid on Pc(except the first one)

Yawn. Sony needed to announce some new titlesas the PS3 has almost no games that make it worth spending the extra cash.

There are so many good games coming out on the 360 that weren't even mentioned at E3. Way to go taking E3 asbeing the make or break of the console war.

This year will still belong to the Wii with the 360 coming in in close second.

This E3's been pretty bad, actually. Nothing that eye-catching from all camps.

The Sony and MS conferences were practically identical, in terms of games.

Sony had Killzone 2. Spectacular, Crysis-challenging graphics, but... it's Killzone.

MS had... well.. umm... nothing new.

This E3's all about games that we already know about, basically. Which I kind of hate.

The Microsoft conference wasn't that bad. The only thing it lacked was a new potential highly anticipated game announcement. The titles they showed were already known by us.

That doesn't make it any less good though. They still showed loads of games that are to be excited about and loads of them are highly anticipated potential AAA games.

And with the exception of RE5 all of them are releasing this year. That's something to be excited about.

Also, the Bringing it Home content is cool. They already released demo's of Blue Dragon, Ace Combat 6 and Stuntman Ignition. I haven't checked today yet, but possible there are more demo's underway. Also truckloads of trailers are released on the marketplace.

In my honest opinion though, Sony had the best conference just because they announced a good looking game; Infamous. Other then that it was a tie with Microsoft if you ask me. However, if you take the Bringing it Home content into account I would say Microsoft won this E3.

Nintendo though, was obviously not good. They pretty much announced they were not focusing on real games anymore but games for your mother and little kids. There are almost no games for the Wii but truckloads that my little nephew of 6 likes. And even some that my mom wants. But for a real gamer there is almost nothing there.

It's definitely Sony and Microsoft for me this generation. I already have an Xbox 360, I'm getting a PS3 next year sometime.

I don't know why Gears going to PC is percieved as such a blow for MS/360/Lemmings. By the time it is out we'll all be playing Halo3 or some other great title. I've already moved on and haven't put my Gears disc in for months now.

Thing is Sony does not have enough 07 games to show that is why there was so many 2008 games. One of the biggest games they showed was not even a full game but yet just another demo for GT. MS has so many games comming out this year they did not need to show games comming in 08 or 09. The first Killzone failed more because of gameplay then graphics so there is no real reason to get all worked up about that game till more is shown of gameplay but that is another 08 game. I thought MS did a better E3 because these are games I can get hyped for and play soon not sit around and wait for them for next year.Eltroz

I agree 100%... however MS would have been smart to include short teasers of games coming in 08, besides RE5, if for no other reason than to build hype. Sony did have a better show, because they put it all out there, MS seemed to hold alot back, which I think was a bad idea, but hey its not my company. I think E3 is a time for going all out, and do your best to make the other guy look like his toys are puny in comparison.... but MS seemed arrogant enough to only show 07 titles.... which most people wont remember when remembering E3.

I don't think it's so much that Sony put it all out there, but that Sony just had more to show. They didn't even show all of their 07 lineup, let alone a lot of 08. Where was Lair?

And when you get into 08, they didn't show White Knight Story, FFXIII, Tekken 6, the next Team ICO game, etc. etc.

Sony didn't show all their stuff any means. They just showed enough, and I expected MS to do the same, but the didn't telling us anything that we didn't already know.
