I'm on the fourth disc (finishing up the sidequests/optional bosses.)...and I must say it's pretty damn good. Alot of "manly tears" moments
I'd say it's underrated if anything.

Not a big fan, I think it's overated personally.
The story was cliched, the ending was eh, and after the first disc, the game didn't really surprise me. I guess I've played to many JRPG's, but it's not a bad game, and a huge step up from Blue Dragon, which as very lame.
Too bad their next game was cancelled (by M$?).In any event, it's cancelled.

I agree that the story goes downhill as the game progresses. Although the gameplay goes up. What with the better spells and more complex abilities and all that. Not a fan. Gongora was a horrible antagonist and the story was cliched to the maximum. Kaim and Jansen were cool though.
This game doesn't hold a candle to Tales of Vesperia.

I also agree that the main stroy was cliched...although the side stories in the 1000 years of dreams were awesome. Not a big fan, I think it's overated personally.

Wow their next game was not cancelled by MS. It had nothing to do with MS. Stay on your facts buddy. You normally do.Not a fan. Gongora was a horrible antagonist and the story was cliched to the maximum. Kaim and Jansen were cool though.

uh...i've never played LO to be fair, but how can you hold Vesperia to such high esteem when you're complaining about a cliche'd story? The first 1/3 was slightly original, still a little cliche as far as fairy tales go, but different for a JRPG, but it's basically all JRPG, more specifically, tales cliche after that.
Very under rated. By far the best JRPG of this gen so far, and the 1000 Year Dreams were absolutly beautiful. The story was good, the dialog was good, and the gameplay was good. It just was a game that blended together very well to make a real top notch JRPG.
When i got rid of my 360 for good, this was the only game I truly regretted not being able to play again.
Best RPG I have played in a long time. Hands down the best RPG this gen. However, TOV is up there I just have to finish it.too_much_eslimAgreed minus the tales thing only because I have not played it

Okay, you did fine to point out an error, but you didn't help anyone know anymore than that. The game is cancelled, right?

Yeah just getting on you about the MS thing. Anything bad related people are always quick to blame MS. I wasn't disputing the facts that the game was cancelled. I was hurt when it was cancelled. I was really looking forward to the game. It had a great concept imo.Yeah just getting on you about the MS thing. Anything bad related people are always quick to blame MS. Yeah, if history was any indication, they were improving by every game.

Yeah, and the game was going to be more of an action RPG, so all the turnbase haters would at least give it a look. Please Log In to post.
