So what now for 360 owners?

Okay The thread title may be a little misleading. I've come to realization that the 360 just might be done after Gears of War 2 gets old to us 360 gamers. Don't misunderstand me but I think it might be getting time for the PS3 to shine and the 360 to take 3rd place soon. I mean what exclusives have we got left coming that really will dominate like Halo 3 and Gears of War 2 did?:| I guess only time will tell.

Well, all the fall releashs games that just came out will end with Left 4 Dead, after that there no games I have been planning to buy. so yea, there won't be any hype games left ATM, but at the same time PS3 have went through it fall game releases and there nothing coming out soon ether

not to say that there now pleanty of games that we have to get through with many hours of logging ahead of us to be fully full of it goodness.

The 360 has a lot of games in 2009. Halo Wars, Halo Recon, Alan Wake, DLC for a lot of games including GTA 4, Tomb Raider, Fallout 3. Then you have lots of JRPG, RPGs, and MMOs.

Halo Recon sounds abit interesting but only 3 to 5 hours? It should at-least be 8 hours or why even waiste their time doing it? Alan Wake also is interesting but just when is it ever gonna come out? I'm meaning in 2009 not 2 or 3 years from now.

Kinda weird, cows make dozens upon dozons of these threads every month since Halo 3 saying the 360 does not have anymore games. The funny part is more games keep comming and also the 360 still has more AAA games and more AA games and more A games. Amazing since going by cow logic the 360 has run out of games since Halo 3 was released at least judging vy what was said back then. Just ask them and every month the cows say the 360 has nothing left but yet the 360 still has a far better libary of games. You would think they would learn by now to just give it up with that already.Eltroz

Yup, just like every year. And just like every year, 2009 will feature some blockbuster titles, and then cows will again forget MS's strategy and say, "yeah, but what about 2010?" Seriously, guys, MS and Sony hype their games differently; Sony likes to hype games FOREVER, whereas MS likes to drop them out of the blue and create an explosion of excitement.

Just because the titles haven't been announced yet doesn't mean they don't exist.  

I own a PS3 and a 360 as well, and I completely agree. Right now, there is not one exclusive for the 360 in 09 that I have any interest in, save for the console exclusive Alan Wake. However, there is no confirmation on when that game will even release. Halo Wars? No thanks. Ninja Blade? No thanks. Halo Recon? Just an expansion pack, and again, no thanks.

I am sure they will have some announcements before too long though. Hopefully they have some quality new IP's that they are getting ready to unveil. As it looks now though, I am in complete agreement with you. It is definitely slim pickings on the 360 as far as my tastes go.

I'm sure a ton will show up. Also there are multiplats. Actually I wrote this list a few days ago.

Hell, Im still playing Halo 3. Mythic maps come out next year, so Im garenteed to continue to play it. ANd I'll still be playing Gears 2 next year as well.

I'll also get Halo Wars and Halo 3: Recon. Hopefully Cry on comes out next year.

I'll get Dragon Ball Z Burst Limit 2 if that comes. And Im sure people will be all over CoD6 or what ever. And of course theres tekken 6(I think it's 6... Im not sure) and Final Fantasy XIII.

Why just ask this about the 360 though? I don't know much for the other sysems either. As far as I know nothing is coming to the WIi aside from ports of Pikmin and some other Gamecube game that escapes me. And for the PS3 just Versus XIII.

Really though, we're going to have to wait and see what comes. Not every game is anounced a year before they come. There were plenty of games I got this year I had no idea about prior to this year.

Exactly.  That's why the PS2 still sell as much or even more than the PS3 sometimes.

I just bought Rogue Galaxy a couple of days ago.  So many PS2 games that I still need to check out, its insane.  I could list them, but I think I'll pass on that and assume everyone knows many titles that are still worthwhile.

Wasn't the same thing said after 2007? 2008 was suppose to be the year of the PS3 and that really didn't happen at all. LBP and Resistance were suppose to be the big hitters this year, and even though both games did get "AAA", their sales weren't anywhere close to Fable 2 or Gears of War 2. They didn't move much hardware either.

So far we know there will be a Forza 3, Halo Wars, Halo Recon and most likely another Gears of War game. We also get Bioshock 2, Mass Effect 2, Star Ocean IV, FF XIII, Splinter Cell: Conviction, Perfect Dark (maybe) and probably a couple more sequels. M$ hasn't announced their lineup for 2009 yet. They are to busy dominating software and hardware sales over the PS3 to worry about that right now.

Its true.  Makes me glad I bought my 60 gb model when I did.  My roommate and friend from high school bought 40 gigs and are annoyed by the fact they can't play PS2 games.  

Of course, if they put it back in now not only would they be eating their words, Sony would also be making a lot of 40 gig owners angry.

There's also Naruto:Broken Bond if you're into that kind of game :).

And who here really believes that the 360 won't have some other nice games coming out? That's crazy. I could happen that suddenly MS decides that they no longer wish to have any exclusives for their system, but that's just crazy.

I find that Microsoft doesnt announce the games 2-3 years in advance a lie. Look at Halo wars and Halo recon. Halo wars I think wont be good since no RTS games are ever good on consoles and and Halo recon wont be different besides story, minor graphic changes and about 2 new weapons. Then we have Forza MotorSport 3, it is so big that itll have 100 tracks and 400 cars using 2 DVD's!!!!. That just sounds horrible to my ears, Gran Turismo 4 on the PS2 had nearly 800 cars and it used just a single DVD, Forza 2 is just, lacking funding, Microsoft doesnt care about it since it knows it cant beat Gran Turismo's brand name as well as its fanbase loyalty.

Look at NXE and home, Home has always been delayed but has always kept most if not all its features

Sales dont speak quality, Sales speak quantity. Resistance 2 getting lower sales the Gears of war 2 shouldnt be such a shock, and if it is you are probably really stupid(no offense intended) considering its a well known fact that Xbox 360 owners love Gears when to be honest its just average with the exception of graphical detail, and online which is pathetic and that there are way more Xbox 360 owners. Reviews dont speak quality either, they usually speak the agenda of the reviewer and the site. Just a few days ago Guy Cocker of Gamespot said that Killzone 2 was bland and it didnt have any destructability in it. Obviously he was wrong and it shows the agenda of both him and raises a few question about GameSpot.

OMG! why dont you people ever talk about the games that are ONLY on the 360! some people have gaming PC's! so whether youra cow or not! people like hermits still get to play those games! so they are not exclusive to the 360! and i dont care what you saY! the pc is its own machine to play games on! and im not only targetting you, all lemmings are basicly like this.

and cows need to learn that microsoft might not have annouced there 09 lineup, maybe cause they dont have anything, maybe cause they want to surprise people who know! but dont factor them out!

halo wars? seems interesting - i hope they pull it off right. halo recon not so interesting to me! just a short expansion and a game like halo doesnt really need to explore its mp that much atm - its still miles ahead of everything else. alan wake seeems kinda good - looks awesome. atm thats all i can think off . but u get the point.
