So what will be the next great online MP game?

2007 was a great year for MP gaming. I played the hell out of Halo 3, Level 50 or whatever, got sick of it. Went on to CoD4, sick of that. Now, it seems like they're all just rehashes. From what we have seen, MW2 offers nothing revolutionary (maybe but nothing yet announced). MAG looks promising but I have my doubts. So what will be the next great online MP game?

P.S. Im playing Red Faction:Guerilla online right now. Its ok but the destruction doesnt add to the gameplay online as much as I hoped it would.

I don't know. I don't get sick of my games as fast as you. I still play Team Fortress regularly and Halo 3 occasionally. I'm getting Left4Dead and Halo 3 ODST this year so maybe one of those.

Just from reading your post, and looking through the 2007 titles you listed, it doesn't seem you ever played Resistance 2 or Killzone 2.

I may be wrong, but you may already have the next MP game waiting for you in one or both of those games.

If not, COD6:MW2 I guess.

And, ODST?
It's Halo 3's MP with a Horde rip-off.
If it is anything like Horde, then it will lose its charm after a few weeks.

Modern Warfare 2 will be the game, I guess.

MW2 will have nothing new (surprise surprise) so that won't be it

MAG might if it's a hit, but we'll have to see about 256 players being worth it.

Halo ODST will undoubtedly be good especially if ODST owners have their own stealthy game modes. Would make it awesome imo.

Im keeping an eye on those. In terms of multiplayer, Im not really big on anything except shooters and fighters.

Splinter Cell conviction? i havent heard anything bout multiplayer, but like dont all tom clancy games have multiplayer

Singularity its gonna have an interesting multiplayer
