So when will CoD die?

I think it will die down in the next few years. If they stay on the sam track they are on for this franchise, it will be just like Guitar Hero. Solid game, but too many releases and market oversaturation will kill it. So when do you think CoD will die?

I don't think it will any time soon. Just look how MW3 did upon release.

It could dip in popularity, but it'll never come close to "dying".

whenever the masses get bored which will eventually happen, i think it will stick round like GTA to be honest but it will wain in popularity eventually.

Maybe it never will die. Hopefully they'll stop with the annual releases and actually change stuff in between installments. It could survive then.

it'll be around for a while ... plus they're most likely gonna reboot next gen, so the interest will be at an all time high as well.

There are fresh waves of gamers every year who haven't been turned off yet.

I certainly hope so. I enjoy the games, but MW3 isn't even close to the top of my "Must buy" list this year. It sucks :(

Yeah, in the next few years.

This was the year that they've started to just not add anything at all, a couple more times of doing that and CoD is finished.

At least I would hope so. :? People never cease to amaze me...

Saying MW will die is like the new "PC gaming is dying" thing.

People say it will happen every year (since MW2), but it just sells more every year.

It will die like those other fadscreated by Activsion in the next two-five years.

Never as long as each "new" iteration outsells its predecessor.

Those that keep insisting CoD is dying are insane. The series' popularlity is only growing right now. It's not going anywhere anytime soon.

Unfortunately,I think CoD has a long life ahead of it,as much as I dislike the franchise(and most military shooters!) as a SP gamer for sucking out the innovation from the FPS genre,and encouraging the stereotype how gamer is a lazy,fat and dumb kid screaming on the mics all day,I still think how even if it took a major loss of popularity,it would still stay strong enough.Its simply too well established to just "die"...

It can't happen soon enough, IMO.

Call of Duty Moon Warfare 4

I hate annoying Call of Duty haters more then I've ever hated any Call of Duty game, and I kind of despised World at War.

So if there's one thing I LOVE about the sales, its the tears of the haters as they flow from the game's success and the mad money Activision and Infinity Ward make. Them constantly harping about their hatred of the game, of the fans, of FPS games, of blah blah blah, and them constantly predicting its failure in sales only to lose EACH time. The tears and crying of people who have no other business but an obsession with a game they supposedly hate... so worth it, and even though I didn't buy MW3, I do think Black Ops 2 has interest potential for me and will buy it both to enjoy it, and to produce more of these tears.

The tears go great with steak btw. Just slightly tastier then the ones Zelda fans get when GS underrates a Zelda game, not that I don't love Zelda, but I do like variety in my tears.

When people grow brains, if thats even possible...
