So, when will Fallout 4 ACTUALLY release?

Because we all know what we are getting at "launch" will be a buggy, incomplete mess. Fallout 3, what did it take like 6 months for that game to actually be playable?

Played fallout 3 at release and the only bugs i had that game frooze sometimes but that only happened after hours and hours of gameplay. Could have been the system overheating as well.

Think you're confusing BGS with Bugsidian. Bethesda games are buggy at launch but actually work, New Vegas was a steaming pile of unplayable shit cancer when it launched.

Bethesda = 3 year dev time for FO3

Obsidian = 1.5 year hard deadline dev time for FNV imposed on them by Bethesda.

3 > 1.5

@Boddicker: BGS actually had to build the tools, engine and assets though, Obsidian didn't. They just used the existing tech for their game and still Fucked it up.

i dont think Fallout 4 will be nearly as bad as Fallout 3 was.. that was really the only BGS game i had problems with on launch. Skyrim was pretty solid for me on release

And launch, well probably some time in 2 years. But only if you forget it has Fallout in the title so you can ignore the lore butchery.

Didn't they say that the game is complete for some time now and all they're doing is fixing glitches nowdays? Hell even its a buggy mess it'll be awesome.

I think it will be a little different this time or at least i'm hoping. they've kept it under wraps for a while and are still working on polishing it.

Less bugs, glitches, and crashes than any Bethesda previous works like Skyrim and Fallout 3 is what i want to believe but previous track record hasn't really given me enough faith that it will be up to standards.

Who knows really. they'll probably release it in beta mode lol. if it has enough issues on release i'll just get the inevitable GOTY version with all the DLC a year later. oh and if it's buggy and crashes on every session i hope reviewers don't give them a pass like they did with Fallout 3 and Skyrim so that they get a new engine for their games and stop being so cheap.
