So where's the big announcemen from Sony?

Sony said they would make a huge announcement at Leipzig this year after E3. They said it wouldn't be Heavy Rain or anything to do with it, all we were shown is a pixelated picture.

Any ideas?

Can't say I know heard about that, I guess it could be that supposed game a BBC reporter saw, im really begginig to think all this super secret game stuff is just BS though.

Sony said they would have 12 announcements to make , that is all I heard from them. Most assumed they would be region specific announcements and hopefully a big game reveal of some sort , but those were just hopes or rumors. No biggy ether way. We got EyePet !!!!

GC i think, but i could be wrong. There will be a lot more interesting stuff at TGS anyway so if its a load of crap they'll want to announce it now.

I found a funny video from IGN the other day, it was Jack Tretton at E3 2005, during the whole KZ2 controversy. Anyway, he said Sony's motto was to "under promise and over deliver". :lol: No kidding, he said that.

Maybe every PS3 owner should be pessimists to avoid inevitsble dissapointment with announcements.

First of all , you should establish exactly what was said (or promised) and give us the quote and where it came from and under what context. I am not saying that Sony didn't say something , but how do we know if they really did say it ? There are so many rumor sites posting anonymous things , it is hard to tell what happened.

Hey - I love the PS3. My console of choice is the PS3. I'm just saying at the time they were over promising... alot.

We have a word from this on the PC side when a company announces something is coming, makes it sound so superior, and dosent plan to release anything anytime soon and stalls as long as possible on the real details.

Called a Paper Launch.

Sony is hoping people will assume it is something spectacular and not buy other consoles until the announcement is made. Then give hints.. like its in the near future.. and BAM.. its never as good as they try to make you think it is.

The pixelated pic was from some other source and the hype comment was from the bbc reporter after seeing a game from sony. Sony didn't hype or announce a game that was going to change gaming, just a bbc reporter.

Has Leipzig actually happened yet? I thought what we've been seeing this week was GC (the German Game Conference) I could be wrong, but I think thats why we haven't heard any major news. Oh wait! Wireless Keypad! Yeah! :)
