So who here are games and who are fanboys?

I've never understood this system wars stuff. When it all boils down, i like to play games. I havea PC/Wii/PS3/DS right now. I use my Wii the most, but that doesnt mean i think my Wii is better then someone's xbox360. ilike mario just as much as uncharted2, but i cant play both on the same console. its justsad that people are so negitive towards systems they dont have, its almost as if they are jealous that someone else can play a game they cant.people miss out on tons of good games because they over look it for whatever reason. All consoles have things going for them but only fanboys feel the need to trash other systems/games.

i play mainly PS3,PC,PSP and some Wii when i pick up a gem for it...Not a fanboy in any sense of the word and besides im more into playing some older games on PC right now.Civ 3 is stealing my time away bout every day :( my America save is rather badass nuke capabilities and it was pretty quick was in the 1930's :P

People you might think are fanboys might just be stirring things up for the sake of this being a "war"

It is one thing to be passionate/fan of something, but it is completely another when one is absolutely rabid over something that the individual becomes ignorant over facts and being aggressive in their tone. I personally tend to associate fanboys with the latter description, because I find the term 'boy' in 'fanboy' represents immaturity, now being a 'fan' on the other hand, I have no problem with that term.

Please tell me I am not the only person who sees the two words this way....

Games are the things you play and fanboys are the people in here.

I own a PC, X360 and a Ps3 - but don't really prefer either. I'm playing my Ps3 more though, because it's my most recent system so I've more games to complete.

I am a fanboy of certain games though, particularly the Unreal Tournament series.

Nah, not a fanboy, though I do prefer the DS version of most games to other versions, even console versions of games. Just really like the DS. But I tend to own multiple generation-current systems with one console or handheld as the main system while still getting in play time for the others. Kinda always been that way. One system is like the main system while the other systems just offer the games you can't get on the preferred system. I tend to spend a lot more money on games though than systems, so buying another system for me really isn't a big deal. It'll only set me back one month's worth of new games, so it's usually a fair tradeoff for owning a new system. Got all this gen's systems except 360. Not sure when I'm going to get one. Kinda holding out to see if Microsoft announces a new console.

i will give any game a try as long as it isn't almost identical to another.

I respect all gaming systems and the people who use them. Except for the Wii, I think it's stupid and should die.

I consider myself a Fanboy for Nintendo I will continue to buy their systems as long as they continue to make games I like.

That said I'm not a closed-minded fanboy I play and like other systems I'm currently own a PS3, PC, Wii, and DSi. I used to have a 360 this gen.

I own all the consoles and a gaming PC. I'll play up whichever I'm feeling at the moment. :P

I own a gaming PC and at one point owned all of the current consoles (including PSP and DS) I no longer have the Wii or the handhelds, but I don't have a problem with any of the systems.I'm not interested in labels though, I know where I stand. I follow the games.

I have a Ps3/Wii/Ds as well as a fair few steam games and owned a 360 for the first two years of it's release can I be invited to the Gamer club?

I'm not a fanboy, but there's definitely a hierarchy. PC on top, with 360/PS3/Wii sharing equal footing. In my opinion its not even fair to compare PC to consoles most of the time. The only thing that is truly debatable are games; both formats have their strengths and weaknesses in this area.

Except that fanboyism, or bias to simplify, is NOT the same as preference. There's a world of difference. Preference is simply a choice, bias is driven by irrational motives.

I play PS3, 360, Wii, PC, and DS games. haven't picked up a PSP this gen and kind of don't feel the need to, but I try to be as unbiased as possible :X I love my shmups only available on 360 and I love games such as demon's souls and yakuza 3 on my ps3. Wii has some of my favorite games this gen as well from muramasa, to sin and punishment, to no more heroes.

Agreed. I prefer to play games on my PS3 as far as console games go, but I would never choose an inferior version (such as RDR) or try to defend one just for the sake of doing so. Besides, I didn't go out and buy all three consoles because I hate two of them.
