I want one in a few years to play games like SMG, SSBB, No More Heroes, MK Wii etc.

It's a good console imo, but I'd like Nintendo to secure a 3rd party exclusive, something big like FFXIII, Gears etc, to set the level for other 3rd parties to follow, because 3rd parties are being lazy atm with the Wii, and I want that to change.

Non-gamers will flock to the Wii in huge masses, once they see Wii Fit in action.

The Mass Market don't care about E3, and the Wii is a mass Market device now. Nintendo is marketing towards a different group, but also have some fan faves visiting, in the end, it's not a big deal their conference stank.

The Wii doesn't need the help anyways. It's selling to Grandma's even!

I got one at launch, but this conference did not get me to stop questioning whether it was actually worth the money (only 4-5 games during that conference have gotten my interest)

Oh yeah! I have to get a Wii so that a ****ing piece of plastic can tell me what a fatass I am! And so I can play all of the awesome mini-game collections and half assed ports! And then I get to watch my favorite Nintendo franchises ran into the ground through "casualization" (Zelda Tp was waaaayyyy to easy)!

Oh yeah! Wii FTW!

If anything, that conference made me want a Wii even less. Reggie is an ignorant jackass and Nintendo better toss him out if they want my business.

As of the time I'm posting this I think the poll shows that basically everyone that wanted a Wii already owns it. Perhaps we'll see a steep drop off in sales soon.

Well, that's what the poll shows, but I don't think GS posters are the target audience for WiiFit

lol, nothing against this statement. just that the wii has already attracted the masses. wii fit is just another software title to keep them happy.

if you can find a console almost a full year after launching, that is an indicator of something.

everyone here will buy a wii just for ssb and mario. even if you hold off, you will want to play those games.

The big 3 all had bad conferences. Almost nothing new or impressive. In fact the Wii showed the most interesting new things to me. They may not have given us new reasons to buy a Wii, apart from potential, but the same goes for the others.
Perhaps it's because i thought about my console purchase, and knew what to expect from the 3 beforehand.
I can understand how people who drowned in everyones opinions here could be persuaded to buy a x360 or PS3 based on their conferences. Not so much a Wii, because the Wii conference was about emphasizing nintendo's role as gaming pioneers, not about impressing gamers at all.

A poll in SW is not a good indication of the real world. The Wii is still sold out EVERYWHERE one year after launch, and it doesn't look like it will change anytime soon.

Yeah, selling you're soul to the casuals will usually garner pretty big sales. Congrats Nintendo: You have amazing sales! You're also a casualized whore.
