MS didn't say anything because 360 sold worse than the other two consoles and maybe by a huge number that may put them in the position that they could be potential outsold in the US this year by the ps3.

didn't the cows claim that upon the ps3 release it would outsell the wii and 360 combined? didn't they say that a year later? and the year after? and now? didn't they say when the ps3 dropped to 299 it would outsell the 360 world wide and close the gap over night?

That's debatable. After MGSIV getting AAAA on Gamespot (suddenly GR became for desirable) ad ToV causing a huge sales spike in Japan (Japan sales became relevant) I'd say it's pretty even.

I think the last Attachment rates were released around this time last year with:

360: 8.1

Wii: 5.5

PS3 5.3

The PS3 has for the most part of this gen usually ended up with the lowest attach rate out of the three consoles.
