I've had my Wii since November 07' and to be honest I hardly ever play it. Sure there's a gem or two but this sheer absence of great games coming down the pipes is depressing. I think I bought more games for my 360 in the 1st year than I have for the Wii total (and the 360's 1st year was a bad joke for the most part). Serisously Nintendo....bring the seal back or something. You put out classic games like SMG or MP3 and then literally nothing for months (sometimes years)? I'd sell it if I didn't already have so much into the controllers, wheels, etc. Also, why put the carppiest levels from MK64 in. Um, all the best battle and race stages aren't present. Can we get a collectors edition or something? I'm starting to think that the best course for action is to wait until the last year of the console's lifespan and then buy the 5-10 must have diamonds just to save myself the money and the frustration of owning a console I hardly ever use. It reminds me of when I got the 64 at launch and waiting for ANY game (let alone a good one to come out).

I don't agree with you... about the N64. It was awesome from start to finish.

I have only purchased three retail games for my Wii:

Manhunt 2 (a horrible disapointment over the first game)

Resident Evil 4 (a great game)

The Sims (for my girlfriend)

After those games I haven't seen anything that really interested me and now the Wii goes for months without being turned on. I do however own 13 virtual console games, and if it weren't for them I would get rid of the console for good.

The last wii game I bought was Mario Kart, but it was a disappointment in terms of local multiplayer. They completely messed up the battles.

Nice blog entry, even if I disagree.

That's weird, I play 4-5 times a week. But then I actually buy games for the system... so there's that.

I would list a bunch of games worth getting for the Wii but...... I won't. You're not worth my time, I'll just say go research a little bit more and I'm sure you'll find some Wii games you'll like. If not, sell it.

The reason is the same reason why the N64 and the GC finished dead last, LACK of 3rd Party Support, and due to the attitude of some Nintendo gamers only buying 1st Party games, which further discourage 3rd Party developers. Try games like House of the Dead Overkill and Madworld.
