Socom shows that trophys are harder to get than achivements

to get one of the legion of Merit medal trophy you need to get the following:

50 MVP awards, 5000 kills, 250 head-shots, 500 games on the winning side, plant the bomb 150, and capture 125 control points

and heres another trophy just to prove my point, to get a platinum trophy you need to get ALL the trophys, while achievements you can get any of the gamer-points at any time that i have seen

It's just 1 game though. But yeah, that sounds like a lot of work.Floppy_Jim

I can agree with that. But a lot of them are accumulative, meaning you have to do something X times before you get the trophies.bez2083

I never even attempted the platinum trophy in Warhawk, it looked too frustrating. The platinum Trophy in Resistance 2 looks straight forward, but it'll just take a very long time. There's one Trophy for killing 10,000 in ranked matches and after a month, I've barely killed 1,000.

Bingo /thread here.

A few I still have yet to get:

After contacting the rescue vehicle, no one takes any damage from then on.

Play through an entire campaign without having to heal once.

Plus some of the multiplayer ones are rather challenging, like pouncing 2 people in life as a hunter.

Any developer can set of any sort of pointless achievement or trophy if they want, however I'd much rather have challenges I can actually overcome without it basically "Congrats, you have no life to have completed this challenge, enjoy your virtual trophy."

But I meant 360 achievements, I know you can do that with trophies its a cool feature, and I wanted to know if the 360 has it.

100? Christ, I'm lucky if I can get more than 30-40 kills in a ranked game.

Its the same thing as achievements in respect that you do it X amount of times :| That's not difficult, just pointless.Synthetic_NinJI

So basically, platinum trophies is like maxing a tough gamerscore. Wowee, Sony sure has MS beat there :|Shafftehr
