Next year looks even worse than this year for the 360

right...because microsoft has already announced the 360's entire 2012 lineuplawlessxBasically this.
yeah and its the only upcoming xbox exclusive that is remotely relevant
edit: i apologize for this unfair statement. there is also "disney land adventures." surely another great addition to the xbox library
wait, what? I sold my Wii & PS3 and I know I can't keep up with games coming out on 360. Sure Forza and Gears are exclusive, but it's not like Batman AC, BF3, MW3, NBA 2k12, Skyrim, etc etc etc arent on 360Next year looks even worse than this year for the 360

[QUOTE="ActionRemix"]It's Fezme2002live arcade game that's also on pc360 only unfortunately. Would love if it were on PC.
[QUOTE="lawlessx"]right...because microsoft has already announced the 360's entire 2012 lineupkris9031998Basically this. The only event remaining for the year where an announcement could be made is the Spike TV video game awards. Games are rarely announced and released within the same year.
yet each year 360 does better and better. when are sony fanboys gonna learn that, people don't care about exclusives, they care about the GAMES, as they have always had.

and forza 5! called it!
probably a gears spin off too will show up for XBLA or somethig, anyways 360 only people should be used to having no games by now shouldnt be a big deal
[QUOTE="lawlessx"]right...because microsoft has already announced the 360's entire 2012 lineupkris9031998Basically this. Basically they are making a ton of exclusives for the next XBox. I don't think anyone wants to buy an XBox Next with no exclusives at launch. I'm sure they'll have a few exclusives for the XBox 360 next year. Steel Battalion is one of them. Mass Effect 3, Fable Journey and who know's how many Kinect exclusives. There will be something for everyone.

Yeah, 360 owners have no games don't they. You know, all those multiplatform titles, exclusives, XBLA titles and an extensive library which is larger than it's closest rival PS3. No games, yep. There will be more exclusives if the next console doesn't launch until 2013. It's not even a question.
yeah but I mean, what can they possible put out. Fable 4 was pretty much confirmed as a nexbox title, Another Alan Wake game was announced back in April but since than silence, and MS is distancing itself away from that IP. No more Gears of War, PGR5 seems highly unlikely now, Rare's probably focusing on next gen, Twisted Pixel will probably stick with Kinect and XBLA titles. I mean, what could MS possibly announce other than new IP's, and even that seems highly unlikely unless it's a kinect game...There will be more exclusives if the next console doesn't launch until 2013. It's not even a question.

RavensmashWhile there'll of course be games to play on all platforms the bolded is what the thread is referring to, more specifically prospective exclusives that don't require the purchase of an expensive peripheral.
Right now that does basically amount to Halo 4 alone. (Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor requires both Kinect and a traditional controller.)
People saying "Oh, they haven't made all the exclusive announcements that they're holding back yet" should that they probably have, of the first party publishers only Nintendo tends to announce and release games in the same year.
GDC, E3, Gamescom, Tokyo Game Show have all passed by. The only real avenue for new announcements for 2012 is essentially the Spike VGAs.
This generation is going to be over in 2013 anyway, all current generation consoles are nearing the end of their lifespan.
Nintendo are the only ones with a legitimate claim to short lead times between announcement and release. Even then they've still already announced Mario Party 9 and a PokePark game for the Wii I believe. While on the third party side there's Dragon Quest X. And they're releasing a new console. This seems like a pointless TC. Sony or Nintendo haven't announced their 2012 lineup.

Sony are publishing Starhawk, Twisted Metal, The Last Guardian, Sly Cooper 4 and Dust 514 (although this may be a PSV-multiplatform game?). From third parties they'll see Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch and Yakuza: Dead Souls. And they're dividing their efforts into a new handheld release.

It is, and even though i have high hopes for the game i doubt the last guardian will release in 2012 :(

I knew all those PS3 games where coming out I was just brain dead lol. I'm just focused on the games coming out next month which is a lot of GOTY contenders. But I'm looking forward to DQ X, Last Guardian and Ni No Kuni.
[QUOTE="Diviniuz"]I am sure MS has some surprises from us, plus we have that crytek exclusive and stuff. SlashlessThat's a Kinect game, hack n slash. It's not Kinect only. Glad I sold my 360 when I did. Hopefully MS refocuses on it's core audience for their next system. Either way, I'm definitely going to wait to buy it.

This thread is about exclusives, why talk about MP games in it?[QUOTE="UnrealLegend"]that's not true. we can expect FFXII Versus then! Probably not early 2014, but we can expect FFXIII-3 to include the demo and a new exclusive VERSUS trailer :D2014 is going to be a horrible year for gaming; there's no games coming out!

It seems unclear whether there'll actually be a PSV version, or whether the Vita can simply be utilised in some way with the PS3-game - perhaps in a WiiU fashion. Thus far the official media for it have yet to indicate a distinct Vita version and there's no mention of Vita on the game's site.I see the generation winding down at the end of next year, so I don't know whether SCE would let The Last Guardian slip again.

It isn't? well after the E3 Demo I thought it was pretty much confirmed, but ok. though the game still doesn't interest me.

Pretty sure they confirmed at e3 that it wasn't Kinect only. I thought it was then someone corrected me. Maybe I'm wrong though...Please Log In to post.
