Dont worry about that. If it doesnt drop to $299 on Monday like many said it would, I'm not getting one. I WILL not get one until its under 300 bones. I want it mainly for the BlueRay player.

I'm not a massive PS3 fan at the moment, as I kinda buy consoles to play games on, and that one thing the PS3 does really do at the moment. However, at that price i'd be interested!

GT5, Killsone 2 and metal gear all interest me- plus i need to complete my console collection

Umm you do realize that GTA and Madden helped get the ps2 to its current point. Now Madden is better on 360(at least 08 was) and GTA4 is coming out the same time as the ps3 version and the 360 version will have exclusive episodic content. Plus the big game library of the ps2 helped too. The ps3 doesn't have that right now. The 360 has a big game library. I've seen many casuals flock to the 360 and still just yesterday, I've seen my local best buy sold out of 360's. Yet i do see a ton of 40gig ps3's still out on the floor.
