well I never read its review yet but I always thought that ratchet and clank was an excellent series and is the game series that is going to convince me to get a PS3.
It was the the TOD review and it was very atrocious. I am not claiming the game should have been a 9.0, it shouldnt have, but a 8.0 or 8.5 for sure. The guy who reviewed it seemed like he barley even touched the game, it would be on my list of gamespots top 10 worst reviews ever.
The "some people" that say it on this forum aren't sincerely meaning it. It's a jest against the appalling review that Gamespot did for the game which criticized for "having an identity crisis" and having "too much variety"
I played through the game, and the identity crisis thing about it is simply an absurd statement. Whoever reviewed the game must've been drunk at the time of writing.
It was a review to raise the eyebrows . R&C TOD was a beautiful game worth 8.5 at least !! It came from a time when PS3 games weren't liked here . Like how Uncharted got a 7.5 for example ...

It had multiple things that probably annoyed the reviewer. There was the pirate dancing game, the lylat wars styIe shooting sections, some platforming sections, tilting/rolling ball minigame, RPG-esque weapon upgrade system but was ultimately a giant shooter fest. Hey, it's just the reviewer's opinion that these things gave the game an 'identity crisis'. I think the game tried to do too many things at once, but ultimately it was really fun for me. I wouldn't give it AAA nor as low as A.
Isn't that what the guy that review Tools of Destruction said? Honestly, that was a terrible review and the guy that reviewed it has no idea how to review games. Since when has variety been a bad thing? If a PS3 game sticks to a formula it gets called generic and if it adds variety then it has an identity crisis? Sounds pretty stupid to me.
Hehehe during that time when RC Tod receive 7.5 I really think GS hate PS3 .......... God the review is soo strange. RC Tod deserve 8 - 9.5 score IMO .............
