Sorry if old.
Edit:Apparently some people don't know what a Beta test is:lol:

I looks boring and a big waste of time.
I'd rather be doing other things when I'm not playing games.

SW always delivers!
The viral marketings never stop. Well, it's not a suprise, after all... the world is just flooded already with ads, it was bound to happen sooner or later. Next we'll be seeing adds for products updated daily in games aside from Madden and sports games... Mario start popping those GAP fashions, or Guitar Heroes and Hot Topic?
Meh... it looks ok, but Sony's known for overhyping and not delivering... a system that's also not mandatory for all games? No thanks...
Am I the only one who finds this a bit creepy, like one big interactive advertisement for Sony products? The avatars look realistic but then that also reveals a flaw, look at the lifeless, vacant facial expressions. It actually makes me appreciate Nintendo's cartoony little Miis.
Oh well I'm sure it will be an interesting little service. When I finally get a PS3 I'm sure I'll spend a few minutes checking it out.
Looks better than many a next-gen games. I predict it's gonna be a bit empty at first, but it has the potential to grow into something awesome.
Have to go see that movie.
PS Home is already said to be a ad space for not just Sony but advertisers in general. Opinion noted...
This could be a plus for some games, as hopefully it will be a less expensive way to advertise games, and hopefully niche games like Katmari esque games which are great, but don't sell so well, can finally get some more recognition and hopefully awareness that will generate more sales. That could be a plus...Call me crazy but I actually like the Sony advertisements (especially the games). I like looking at game videos of upcoming games and I will be checking in with H0ME on a weekly basis just to see what they are doing with it or how it is changing.

the thing I have against it is, this is just another step into the propaganda of advertisements. There's nothing we can do about it though... it keeps things free... so far... but it just is over exposure.. I'll try to avoid going into too many ad spaces if I can...

I understand the concept of advertisements supporting a product. I'm saying that in the case of Home, it looks like the advertisement is the product.

It is still creepy though - you're buying a 1080p monitor and a $600 gaming system, so that you can have your "virtual self" play on a "retro" game on an imaginary PSP. Isn't that a bit strange? What point of escapism have you reached?
No thanks, it's not for me. I like LIVE because I'm just picking it up to play some games against some realy people, I'm not trying to walk my virtual self over to a virtual theater to watch a virtual movie - I'll do it in real life with my real self. HOME seems like the kind of thing that lets you pretend you have a life while you sit in a chair from friday night until monday morning, waiting until you have to go sit in your cubicle and browse the 'net all day.
It seems really kinda sad.
It does *looK* cool though...
havnt u noticed that everyone on this topic who is extremely against home as a waste of time has a 360 avatar with a 360 game on theirs. Ya, there opinion really matters
The fact is if 360 came up with home first, it would be lauded as a great new online feature to an already strong 360 online base. But no, since its on a ps3, its just another waste of time..
My take, its cool because its optional, u dont have to but if ur bored u can, and its an added new feature that only adds and does in no way take away from the ps3's capabilities.

You dont play games on the PSP. You buy furniture and naviagate menus with it...and you can use it to select locations to quickly jump to instead of walking to them if u dont want to....

Wow.. so you're paying for things you don't actually get? I think I'd rather spend my money on something real.
But hey, if you like being milked out of your money that's fine.
I think it would be crazy of anyone to assume that this will be anything other than a success.
If Beebo, Myspace, Youtube, Messenger, even The Sims or Mii's, have taught us anything, it is that this stuff is appealing to the mass market and a whole range of people will be willing to jump onboard and really get a lot from it.
Once sales of the PS3 increase and Home starts to become more populated I think this will be one of the biggest feathers in Sony's cap...
That's pretty easy to say because it's not coming on the 360, so there is no way to prove that your are wrong.havnt u noticed that everyone on this topic who is extremely against home as a waste of time has a 360 avatar with a 360 game on theirs. Ya, there opinion really matters

Truth be told, there are things available on the 360 that I don't like and I don't waste my time with them. Home would have been one of them if it were offered. Like I said it isn't my demographic. And If this was available for the 360 and not the PS3, Sony fanboys would be saying that it was crap. So please stop it. Your opinion just because you like it doesn't make it any better than those who don't.
It'll be fun for about 2 or so hours then thats it. It's just like 50 other thingd with better graphics. Try it out, have a bit of fun then forget about it.

No kidding man. This looks like a very interesting idea. Whoever is not excited about how this would turn out is in total denial.
It looks interesting.
And seriously, I know Xbox fanboys aren't the sharpest tools in the shed, but how can you hate on it? It's free. :|
