somebody explain why PS3 is better then 360 (or other way around)

after years of taunting the PS3 i decided i want one. I wanted a wii and just a wii but now that i have one, i want another system to go with it. At first i wanted a Xbox360 because there are some pretty cool games and all of my friends have one but thats the thing, ALL OF MY FRIENDS HAVE ONE. The Xbox360 is now as common as a DVD player. When DVD players first came out people would say "oh wow I heard about those, those are cool" and now they say "DVD player, whatever, everyone has one" and its basically the same thing with an Xbox360. But when you see a PS3 in someones house you would say "HOLY *&%$#! YOU HAVE ONE OF THOSE" or "HOLY *&%$#! YOU CAN AFFORD ONE OF THOSE". So I now feel that the Xbox360 is as common as a DVD player, that is why i have decided to get a PS3. Also because i would be the only person in my school (that I know of) who has one. The thing is that the only good thing i see in the PS3 is the amazing graphics and a few good looking games. Somebody please inform me on how the PS3 is better than the Xbox360 (or other way around) and please tell me of the cool upcoming games.

PS3 is reliable with all kinds of hig-tech stuff but it has a small game portfolio and is expensive!

X360 has many games but it has also many technical flaws...

Well, choose what you like more.

You'd need to chose the game system with the games you like the most. It's that simple.

 Right now the 360 is better because it's cheaper and has more quality game to play. There have been hardware issues in the past with the system, but most people aren't have any issues.

The PS3 only have about 2-3 games worth playing on it. A few more good titles will be out this fall. The AAA games won't hit until next year. So if you can wait that long and don't might spending $600 for a game console, the PS3 might be what you want. Blu-Ray is a bonus if you like playing movies on your game console.

 Still, it all comes down to the games you want to play.

But they will. When Sony Utilizes the Blue ray player for exclusive games expect a big leap in content, features, and visuals.

Right now the 360 is better for now. But where already seeing evidence of PS3's upcomming large library. The traditional MGS and FF series of games usually marks the turn around. There's rumor's of a FF7 remake rumors usually turn out to be true.

I'm simply getting a PS3 first just because i know it will work and the 360 will break on me so I will be getting that later. From Final Fantasy 13 to Heavenly Sword. to Little Big Plantet to Lair. To Tekken 6 to multiplat games Like Oblivion. Ps3 will have probably have the most games again this time around. Also be on the look out for Soul Calibur 4. I can't wait for that one. CANT WAIT. Looking forward to God of war 3.

Blue ray is important and wether poor bitter people who can't afford like it or not life moves on and so does technology. If it was up to those type of people we would still be watching T.V in black and white. Better technology takes out older weaker technology. It's not a complicated process. Eventually DVD is going to be phazed out. Their's Blue ray Players that Play Blue ray disc and High Definition DVDs.

PS3 is NOT better than 360 in any way,so just do yourself a favour and get a 360 for half the price and a host of games

To make it simple for you

When in the rets of 2007, your friends will be playing Mass Effect, Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon, Halo 3, Too Human, Eternal Sonata, Bioshock, Circle of Doom ,Elveon, Overlord, Two Worlds, Precursors, SPlinter Cell 5, Naruto RPG on 360 you will only be playing Lair, Heavely Sword, NG:Sigma and Drake's fortune

And when your friends tell you that in early 2008 they will be playing Fable 2. Banjo, Halo Wars, Sacred 2, Cry On, Infinite Undiscovery, 2ond Bioware RPG, Project Proggresive-Cronos, Ninja gaiden 2 etc you will tell them that you pray to god everyday, that FF13, Killzone 2 and MGS4 will not get 1-2 years delayed, and be released in US in 2008

It is all about games, do not expect to make any impression when the others will have 10x better games to play 100x sooner

Its better because it has a HD player integrated into it. It plays games on Blu-Ray like Uncharted that has no possible way of playing on a DVD9 disk. It has a large amount of ports for different media to attach to. It has a HDMI port. It is super quiet. It does not have a foot long power brick to heat up the floor with. It has free online. It does not break down or overheat like the 360. It has a HD that can upgrade with any thirdparty HD. It has well rounded deverse games. Shooters, action games, rpgs, Kid games, and the future game of the year Uncharted.tmac2gooden

so let me get this straight your telling me that ps2 sucked but the gamecub and xbox were awesome  and now the ps3 is awesome but the xbox360 and the wii sucks now................... ROFL

360 is better because it offers the same gaming experience with no compromises at a lower cost.....  its a value proposition

beyond that its library is also more filled out at the moment as well as likely in the future.   I personally am a fan of the PS3 because I like having blu ray movies, but thats not for everyone.
