Somebody start a petition for Battletoads reboot

Battletoads was a great franchise. And since MS is rebooting Rare titles.....Why not Rash, Pimple and Zitz!!! with better graphics. I would love to see the infamous hoverbike level redone, to be even more controller brakier than before. maybe give it an Rpg leveling system. Hell!!! Make it a kickass Action Rpg.

They could give flys as skill points for kickin ass and learnin new attacks. Grubs would be for raising your attribute level (strength,dexterity,etc). Man it would be such a fun multiplayer experience.

If they could hire a competent team to handle it and not puss out on the difficulty then I'd be all for it.

Yeah it sucks.  Its not just MS though.  I was talking with a friend about this just yesterday.  All kinds of game companies are sitting on great IPs.  Gold mines!  Eventually some of these IPs will become irrelevant though.  Give it long enough and your main user base wont even know what they are.

Look at Square Enix for example.  Why the fvck are they squatting on Chrono?  Two games that hit it big with their fanbase yet no new installment in sight.

MS also has Banjo.  Its a known IP and with the right talent it could be a top tier platformer.  But no, no, that would make too much sense.

That is true, I never thought that series would come back.

Rare is dead. And if MS is going to let their franchises be developed by third rate devs I'd rather the franchises stay dead too.

But they will never be gone, there is still an awesome library of Rare games to play. That will never go away.
