The fact is that I have fun with it, and if so many "casuals" do as well, what difference does it make?distrbdslipsoad
I´m 100% sure that if I had a wii I would have fun with it, I´m not a machine, the thing is I really can only have one console per gen(money money) and the wii would never do it for me, it just doesn´t have the depth. And com one elitist bs? You can´t see a major diference in style between ps3 360/wii games? There completly diferent.
Saying you'd rather have another console is fine, but to say that a victory doesn't count because it was due to purchases by casuals? That's the elitist attitude I'm talking about. What I am trying to say in this thread is that we have hermits, cows, lems and sheep, and 3 out of those 4 don´t really care if the wii is the ultimate winner, and if you call youself one by one of these terms it means you take gameing a bit more serious then casuals do, all I´m saying is for most of us that have been around gaming forever the wii is a bit of a disapointment.
Well if you're talking about fanboys, then yes, they probably don't care about the wii, but they wounldn't have cared anyway, so if you're trying to validate some point based on the feelings of fanboy, you're out of luck. Personally, I don't consider myself a sheep, lemming, cow, or hermit, I just get what I like, I just happened to like the GC and Wii, I also have a PS2, and plan on getting a 360. Not everyone fits into a fanboy category, in the real world, you'll find that most gamers don't.
I consider myself a cow that makes me a fanboy? it doesn´t work that way. I have a ps1, a ps2 a ps3 and a psp, obviously I like sony products so I consider myself a cow, that doesn´t mean I´m a fanboy. Try to look at it this way, who do you think understands more about quality games? The casuals in the "real world" or cows, lems, and so on? It´s obviously us being the ones that go onto to game forums to discuss games have a better understanding of what a good game is.
There's the elitist attitude again. Everyone has an opinion on what they enjoy, and nobody has a final say in what's of high quality and what isn't.Really? So a game series like MGS next to a game like cooking mama isn´t better, it´s all a matter of opinion?
yes. to gamers around the gamespot forums, everybody is going to pick MGS. but there could be other people out there who view cooking mama as supreme. you can't tell people what quality is or isn't.
I hate your point of view, do you feel that way about music cinema and art? Everything is opion based? how do we distinguish the good from the bad? polls? Preference is opinion based, not quality, something either has quality or it doesn´t.
