Something is wrong with PSN....Never mind it's back! Sorry Lems......

There are numerous reports popping up across the internet right now of several PSN members having issues. While some can sign in, they are finding their experinece very slow and cannot view their friends list.

Others simply cannot sign in at all (like me). Many PSN members are also reporting trouble with their downloads. Something is definately going on but Sony doesn't seem to be answering questions relating to it on the PS Blog.

Currently Sony is leaving us in the dark about this, no info, no updates, nothing. And they are ignoring all questions on the Blog about it. Maybe if we make enough noise they'll have to give us an answer, they can't ignore all of us.

Its becuz of the storm that hit the north east, the servers over there are down so the rest of the servers are over flooded with people. But atleast you can still play online just fine, its the store and the messaging thats slowNengo_Flow

I signed in and it's loading up my friends list really slowly.

No, no it's not. XBL is so much more smooth than PSN is. Still PSN is a fine service that is getting better all the time.

I can't imagine the downloads being any slower than usual. The other day I downloaded tr PS All Stars Beta which was slightly over 1GB and it took and hour and a half. This is inexcusable considering my download speed is 25mbps. I could download an 8GB game on Steam in that time.BPoole96

No, no it's not. XBL is so much more smooth than PSN is.

When it comes to playing online there is zero difference. There is no difference in lag etc....that has nothing to do with PSN or XBL at all. XBL is a little more integrated with it's party and messaging system. But online gameplay it's self they are exactly the same.

Playing COD on PSN is the same experience as COD on XBL.

signed in fine but i get slow load times with psn features....it sucks too cuz i usually fidget with the psn home button when the game is loading

Ya I mentiond the slow updates, which IMO has nothing to do with the PS3 it's self, I don't think it would. I think it's simply Sony not being as talented in that department as MS.

However not all updates are super slow fanboys in here think. I often get updates for games that are only 5-10 minutes long. But on a few games I had to wait 20 minutes before. Which sucks as XBL has updates that only take a matter of seconds usually.

Still I don't think XBL is worth paying for, but that's just me. I don't care about cross game chat, and Silver members get the same updates. I'd rather pay for PS Plus.
