seriously. is there any jrpg out there that is up to the standard of ff7? I havent played anything remotely close to that since ff9. And with the tidal wave of mediocre and bad jrpgs that are coming out this generetion Im wondering if there are any jrpgs out there from any gen that is as good as ff7. and im not talking about something to "tide you over" I dont care about krappy jrpgs. Im wondering if there is ANY jrpg out there that is in the same league as ff7.

Word. I remember being so disappointed with 7 when it came out. All flash, no substance.
As for games this gen? Not much. Really the best JRPG this gen I've played is FF4DS.

yeah i acutally have ff6 for mah ps1 as well. thats definately great as well.

i prefered Breath of Fire 3 on the PSX! I'd love to see a BoF5 on any Console.Dibdibdobdobo
AHhhh.. BoF3, they need a remake of it. Loved the dragon system on that game. I have BoF4 but I never really got into it, sooo is the system basically the same.

FF7 really delivered on so many levels for me. I got it for Christmas the year it came out and beat it within my two week vacation with my brother, it was amazing.
Completely I remember waiting like crazy for FF7 to come out after being completely engrossed in FF6. Man was I disappointed. I liked FF7 but it felt like a big chore to play in a lot of places. IMO FF6 was a far better game. No comparison.
