AAA Sonic game confirmed - I may not be able to wait for a black Friday deal on this one, looks brilliant and getting so hyped for a Sonic game feels so 90's to me right now. . :o :P

Not impressed. Sonic needs to move on and start pushing the platforming genre forward. Right now, Sonic is either a platformer with no platforming, or he's sidescrolling in gameplay that's 20 years old. Not saying it's not fun, I'm sure it is. But Sonic used to be a competetor to Mario, starring in some of the greatest platformers of his time. And now what? Sonic runs in a straight line and occasionally dodges a couple of enemies that merely stand there, while Mario acrually progresses the genre.organic_machine

A cash in to the highest degree. I'll stick to the real Sonic Games on the Genesis Mega Collection thanks, and Sonic CD when it comes to PSN Store

Sigh. No matter what Sega do people are always going to be hating on Sonic aren't they? The game looks and plays awesome. After this game gets universal critical and player praise, once the next Sonic game gets announced people are just going to start crapping on that too for no logical reason. It's enough that Generations has to go through this BS after Colours, but if the next Sonic game has to go through this same crap all over again then Sega has no hope of getting the franchise respected again. If that happens people will always hate on the series no matter how amazing the games are.

Sonic's had a bit of a rough time this gen, but I think this and Colors might get the franchise back on it's legs.

I'll be looking into this. Hope it pans out alright

You're actually comparing this to Sonic 4 and calling Generations broken? :lol: How is this in any way a cash in? It's been in the works since Sonic Unleashed. Everything is built from the ground up. Sega are putting serious money into the game.
