To the people who believe that Sonic And The Secret Ring will be AAAA -------- You guys are all dreaming. Do you honestly think that this game can in any way remove the years of horrible stains that the sonic name has received. This game will be no different than the bevy of horrible sonic games that have been coming out. Sonic lived on the Master System, the Genesis, the Saturn and the Dreamcast. Sonic is dead. I used to love sonic just like the rest of you but lets not shoot a dead horse here. Sonic and the Secret Rings will be no different. Let our old hero die. Please.

Don't take ANYONE seriously that says SSR will be AAAA, they don't count. But this exclusive version has a good change of being above-decent to very good.
Sonic and the Secret Rings is his last hope.Seeing the previews,it might turn out well.Maybe not AAA,but still better than most recent Sonics.But if Sonic and the Secret Rings does horribly like the other recent Sonics,yes,they should let Sonic rest in peace.
Lara Croft and the Tomb Raider series was dead for a while... then Crystal Dynamics brought her back to her former glory with Tomb Raider Legend and the upcomming Tomb Raider Anniversary.
I miss the little blue bugger, but from what I have seen of his last few games, they have destroyed him. I doubt the new game will bring him to his former glory but it may salvage some of him in possible being a good game, I hope so for his sake. I will abstain from voting until his new game is released, then ask me after I have tried it.
Before I was a Lemming I was a Sega Fan and I can say that not only is Sonic dead, Sega is dead as well. They ruined not only Sonic but Shinobi as well with the horrible PS2 games. Shinobi had all the potential for being an awesome franchise more so than than Ninja Gaiden when the first Xbox game was announced, but all that came out was crap and Ninja Gaiden blew it out of the water.
Sonic is far from dead. The Advance games were great, and Rush is a brilliant addition to the DS's library. SA 1+2 werepretty good as well (or at least, I think so). Besides, to paing S:SR with the same brush as SH, ShTH and STH '06 is pretty unfair.
I guess we'll see next week if Sonic is "dead." Anyway, just because the last few games have been crap doesn't mean that the series can never have a good game again, besides, Sonic Team is not developing Secret Rings.Â
AAAA? I've seen one or two hype it AAA, but... oh... I get it, hyperbole. I don't think Sonic is dead, yet. For me, this is the fork in the road. If S&TSR is good, then long live Sonic, there is hope yet again. If it's a dud, though, then let the little blue guy go. Or just keep him on 2D handheld games. Sonic Rush freakin' rocked.
I just cant see sonic ever making a comeback. One you did yourself down so deep, is there really a way out? There is no denying that in recent years sonic has been total crap. Back in the day he was the prince (as mario was the king) but now he is little more than the court jester.
so whats wrong with dreaming? I dont understand why soomeone would want the new sonic game to be bad.....as gamers shouldnt you want it to be good? Shouldnt you be open to the possibility that this game might bring some of that sonic fun back into your gaming activities? I think we should all keep an open mind concerning this game, if its bad then we wont buy it.....but if its good the joy, the net accumulated happiness, would be great for any individual and gaming in general; the more good games there are the more good games there will be in the future.

Why do lemmings and cows want Sonic to be dead? Is it because Sonic and the Secret Rings has the potential to be better than the 360/PS3 Sonic game? Sonic on wii has had great previews and goes back to the roots and core of what made Sonic, Sonic, so I have faith that it will be a good game. I just don't understand why people won't give it a chance and want it to fail.:? I think it is great when an old franchise can come back and find new success.
Sonic's not dead most people on here started to say Sonic was Dead once Shadow got his own game but that was the first bad Sonic game, all the other 3D Sonic games after that were bad, but there was only 2 Sonic games after Shadow so two bad 3D games in a row doesn't mean he is dead yet it takes 5 bad games and people to stop buying it, also the hype for Sonic and the Secret Rings is only AA the people that hyped it AAAA are Fakeboys trying to make Sheep look bad.
I want this game to be excellent. If I had my way It would get a 9.5 on gamespot. As anybody who knows me would know there are few things that I love more than Nintendo, but honestly, I just cant see this game being good. Maybe im crazy, but the last 10 sonic games ive played have sucked crap harder than the PS3's launch.
